Mine is done in the most perfect two colours, light purple and turquoise. My Northern Lights basket, a perfect fairy basket to match a sugar plum fairly blanket. Thank you so very much for this tutorial - I felt I following along perfectly, although I ended up with 36 stitches - just kept going, went to 6th and then chained 6, skipped 6 for the handles etc. Fantastic that you mentioned to slip stitch last row, as my purple was running out. I can't wait to make more, but I'm sure nothing will beat these two colours together. Just perfect!

I'm on row 20! I previously got to row 18 then had to frog it all because I realised I'd messed it up (done a chain between each 3x DCs, and also did 3x chains between each SC instead of 2x!). SO worth re-doing, I love how it's coming together. It's taking me such a long time but I know it will be worth it.

Made this and it came out really well! more like 4-5 hours for me, i'd love to get to the day where it takes 1 hour!!! I also used this tutorial video and pattern to teach my friends how to crochet :)

Just an FIY: Please read the written pattern CAREFULLY, many people said that the written pattern doesn't match for the first row, but in fact, they are not following the instructions correctly. Here is the explanation: when we say [skip 1 ch, 3 sc in the next ch, skip next ch]. This is the sequence to follow, when you put the brackets together, to follow the sequence, it would look something like this: [skip 1 ch, 3 sc in the next ch, skip next ch][skip 1 ch, 3 sc in the next ch, skip next ch], etc.. So if you notice, the bracket ends with a ch and starts with a ch, which makes the 2 ch space :) This is simply to make the sequence match throughout the whole row. THANK YOU!!! What is the difference between raw and mercerised cotton..?

I'm starting to learn crochet and that is such a good advice !! I can practice one or two stitches and make something simple like this that will be useful and cute ! Makes the pressure of learning less big ! Because when you learn you need to be regular but if it's too hard and not funny or rewarding enough it can be hard to be regular and motivated. and because there is soooo many thing you can do with crochet you can easily be lost and end up not doing anything because it's too hard to 1) choose and 2) find something really easy for a beginner and 3) stick with it till the end !! That's why this is such a good advice!!!
