Something I realized after all this time playing TSW is that UK Steam Locomotives are extremely simple to control in comparison to North American steam. The Scottsman[RiP Allen Peglar] has a reverser that you turn right or left. It has one throttle/regulator that you don’t have to pump over and over again(You just pull to open, push to close). Even the brakes are simple. One locomotive brake, and no stupid extra steam brake separate from the main air brakes(just a combination brake system). LNER had the right idea when ordering the A class locomotives. They valued Simplicity more than any other railway. It’s funny how EMD makes the Class 66, which was an extremely simple design with only a handful of steps needed to get it moving, but the SD40-2 requires you to jump through hurdles just to get it started. A century and a half of making our own locomotives, and we are still making them as difficult to operate as a Helicopter.
