Why are you out of breath?
Good video. Thanks man.
Do you have to replace both, or just the fuel pump relay?
My phone only connects when someone calls can’t get it to connect to the aux ?
you say Ughh to much like you dont know nothien
I have rdx 2014 with the same problem
I would’ve left the belt hanging
Nice job holding the camera and getting that wire harness out w one hand! Haha I was like is he gonna set the camera down? Nah he got it
Thank you for the video. (I am no mechanic). My battery was having issues starting my acura rl, and then it died. My new battery seemed to work great for a few weeks, and then started to seem like it was barely turning the engine over upon starting it. (I noticed it would seem to have this issue starting in the mornings) I saw this video and removed the Bluetooth unit , and now my acura now fires up great each time. (My hands free bluetooth unit was located in the front passenger side kick panel just on the right side of the legs under the glove box.) At first I thought it was the alternator, but the local auto parts store (Autozone) used a diagnostic tool that said my alternator was working fine.
You don’t know what you are doing dude dang
Why do you say that?
@jorgevazquez5216 he's probably scared to do it lol
Bro bad video. You didn't show how to do anything
Very informative. My M272 just reached 150,000 so im going through everything and noticed oily gunk along the intake manifold which may be originating from these breather areas. Just ordered the drip pan, cover and the oil seperator that is in the drivers side also. Im seeing oil residue around the throttle body as well so will take all that stuff apart and give it a good cleaning.
I just was in the engine bay and the bolts holding the cover on take an E10 socket to remove, not T30. Looks like I'm going to have to buy an E10 wrench to get the two outer bolts out.
So my pulley broke from the back lip and ripped my belt to shreeds is there a certain limit to how tight the pulley gotta be
torque is about 20 nm ( always good to know torque values, and apply them accordingly)
Very useful thanks
Mine has the same codes, and I just replaced the damn evap canister! Did that fix the issue?
I don't know, you tell me 😂
@@Ruben901 actually it didn’t, that’s why I’m still here trying to figure out what else can trigger these codes. Did that answer your question?
@@sf49erswarriorsgiantsgumba99 Did you replace the leak detection pump?
Does a sound bot work for this car ?
Where can i buy it bro?
Thank you! I'm hopeful this fixes the vehicle
Great video! DIY went well and you saved me a pile of cash! Thanks!
You gonna show anyone how to do it? Ain’t that the point of labeling the video DIY
I wonder, did acura make a replacement or do a service bulletin?
I wish they would have! You tube saved the day for us after three new batteries and multiple jumps.
I just replaced the cam plugs and pcv valve.. I'm going just go ahead and buy a new vacuum pump after a hard time taking it off best to buy a new.. I'm going replace the coolant temporarily sensor since the vacuum pump off..
Thank you for going all the way through the process. Other videos only talk about what you need to do, but they don't show you the actual module that needs to be disconnected. When I first started looking at buying a used 2005 MDX I was warned that the Bluetooth system could become a problem. I had forgotten about it until today when after sitting for only 3 days our MDX wouldn't start. For only 15 minutes of effort it is worth a try to see if this is where the drain is coming from in my case. Thanks again! I hope this is all it was. We never use the Voice Command System or Bluetooth system in this vehicle anyway. Cheers!
I had to do this job on my E350...Oh boy!!!! I was probably cussing and fussing at every German engineer who worked on this design for placing that part in that spot with no room to work...
Someone charged my wife 400$ I don't think they did the job right.. it's been leaking oil every since the service is done.. Everytime I get a oil change they point it and say take it to the dealership.. I'm going to do it myself..
I must have a dirty belt; I replaced all the pulleys and check the other ones and chirping..
Have you looked into this yet? I’m about to try to replace the Idler pulley on mine and see if it still is squeaking..
@@kennethmay6343 I haven't changed the belt yet; someone told me to check all the other pulleys by spinning them or pulling up and down on them and they didn't feel loose.. I CZcams 303 aerospace protectant it quieted that belt for 2 weeks.. I'm going to clean the pulleys then spray the belt down again.. That belt doesn't have any breaks in it. When I get time I'm going to clean everything.. I been working on my other vehicle to get working . CZcams 303 aerospace protectant and how to clean idler pulleys.. before getting a new belt research which ones are of quality. Some belt will tend to chirp more often than others..

@@mastercdiychannel8063 Done!
A solutions to this type of vehicles power train issue. is a power kill switch in my opinion. Because looks like not evening manufacturer never to fix this on going issues.
You should compress the tensioner and place the set pin in place BEFORE loosening any screw on the belt tensioner pulley- otherwise you won’t have access to the other bolt.
Never mind - you addressed this. Great job on the video.
Great video and thanks for making it! I had this problem on my 2006 MDX. The car died twice as it got colder into winter. I had previously checked all the fuses and found no change so tried this. I pried the light assembly off with a chisel at the plastic frame edge so the narrow end in and then wider to expand it out. Unclip 2 wire connections and remove the light assemby. Then remove four 8 mm bolts and take down the plastic trim piece. There unclip the green connector to the Bluetooth adaptor. This cut my drain from 300 milliamps to 100 milliamps or less. The min loss in theory should be 50-85 ma so there might be something else causing a small loss. This should hopefully make the car more reliable.
thanks I have this issue, new battery drained in a week, (you should use panel tools to not damage plastic trim), did you verify this was draining current? test for current flow?
Also don’t for get to replace the partial load oil separator on the top front of the other bank. Without doing that, this service is incomplete. They recommend replacing the hose too but it can be cleaned out and put back on.

Going to try this soon. If I leave my 2006 Acura MDX sitting for 7 days the battery needs a jump. Thank you for making this video!!
Hope it help. Please subscribe to the channel. Thank you.
Thanks for making this video
How tight do you tighten the oil drop pan? I didn’t want to make it too tight or too loose.
Tight without stripping. It's reverse thread for a reason so won't spin off with the engine running.
Is there any way I can test this before I replaced? My NEW car battery keeps dying..
you can test fuses as well as any lose ground wire that may cause a drain
I replaced the o rings with the same kit,3 months later in driving and my brakes peddle gets super hard and I smell something burning. I open the hood to see oil coming from the o ring i just replaced and opening up the brake vacuume the piece that spins around had exploded into hundreds of pieces.
Do you remove the cigarette charger when you dont use it, or leave it always in ? As i am concerned about discharging the battery ..
Brother same car i have a vacuum sound coming from brake booster inside the dash (the soud gone once i presse the brake pedal ) how can i make sure that is break booster failure or the vacuum pump or this sound related to the bad break pads
Should I reconnect the first wires you disconnected or do both connectors remain loose? Thanks so much.
just the one to the blue tooth which is the main one
Counter-clockwise brotha
This has worked for us on our 2006 Acura MDX. Bro if you have a CashApp I’ll send you some coin because this plagued us for a while and I was about to sell the car.
$chengyoung
Did it actually work I’m going to the shop tomorrow I thought it was the cold weather and just a old car but I’m gonna try tell the auto shop to disconnect it for me
I replaced the gaskets on my c300 and put everything back together and the breaks stared to get hard on times ¿any ideas on why this happens?
Mines is doing that too right now. How did you fix this?
Any updates I replaced my seals now my brakes hard at idle
Is there a specific tightness I should screw the bolts when I replace the pulleys or is it just as tight as possible?
You have to be very careful NOT to overtighten. The block is aluminum- so it’s easy to strip the threads if you are not careful. I used blue lock tight and 18 ft/lbs
Do you have a breathing problems ?
Thanks for the video.. is there no fuse I can just pull out instead?
Thanks! You helped a great deal. Mercedes really sucks for the poor design on the air intake manifold actuator breakage and the near impossible position of the oil drip pan.
You're welcome.
Hi, can you please tell me if I have a bad water pump or is it just the serpentine belt. Thanks.
Pansey, I won't be able to tell without seeing a video of it. What is wrong with the car?
remove belt, listen for bearing noise, same as other pullies, if leaking or noisy --- replace
What would cause the belt to slip off after replacing the top pulley?
Makenna, it could be many factors such as loose bolts, bad pulley, bad belt to a bad tensioner. Make sure to route the belt to the right direction/diagram. The belt will need to be tight so it wont slip off. I hope you can fix it.
