what month were you there?
We were there the end of August/beginning of September of 2022
I loved the one time I got to fly the Beaver on floats. What a great flying airplane. Beautiful falls.
32 Chunk was in the office
Pretty sure the mama and cubs were 708 and her babies. She had three for most of the season. 909 and 910 were separate this year because 909 had already emancipated 909 jr. and gone on her own. 910 adoped 909 jr. besides her yearling 910 jr. So the 910 family were only 910 and two cubs. The really blonde one, I'm pretty sure was Holly 335. I recognized 747, too and I think the blonde eared boy was 164 Bucky Dent.
Wow! So cool that you can tell which ones are which. It was awesome getting to see them.
@@knoxyouraveragetravelers When you're obsessed and watch the live cams every year, every day, lol, you learn to recognize miniscule little differences, like 747, one of the dominant boars, has little ears, low on his head, and a bit of a droopy bottom lip. 164 Bucky is a young adult, with almost white ears. Holly is the only one with a completely blonde coat. You also learn their personalities. They're really intelligent, and they each have their very own, very distinct personalities. Like Bucky is a goofy, playful young adult. E also has a dent in his muzzle, which is why they call him Bucky Dent. 747 is getting older, around 23, and sleeps a lot, but he still doesn't let the younger, cocky boars push him around. Holly is older also, but an incredible mother. I could go on and on. It also helps to follow along with the live chat with the cams. Once you start watching them, you fall in love with them, and you're hooked for life. It's so hard when they all go away to their dens for the winter. You miss them like your own pets.
Grizzlies everywhere.
Yes! It was incredible to watch!
@@knoxyouraveragetravelers Great stuff!
2:16 the famous and unusual bears 909/910 extended family
It was incredible observing these bears!
We just visited Ruby and Quinault this summer and it was amazing!
Been to Port Alsworth a bunch. Caught my first pike in Lake Clark. Was there for 10 days back in August. Glad you got to see such a beautiful place. I encourage everyone to go to Alaska.
That is incredible! Alaska is definitely a unique place that I hope to visit again in the near future.
How do you get to lake clark? Can u road trip and drive there?
You have to take a plane! We flew with Lake Clark Air and they were great!
@knoxyouraveragetravelers how many days do you need to see the national park? What can u do?
It all depends! One day is enough to go to the visitor center in Port Allsworth, take a picture with the park sign and hike to Tanalian Falls. Anything outside of this will require additional plane rides, but there are plenty of lakes and glaciers to see where you could spend upwards of a week in the Lake Clark area.
So did you like Estes or Leadville more?
Ohh that’s tough! Leadville is very unique and a small town. Estes park has a lot more to do and is right beside Rocky Mountain National Park. I think we would go back to Estes Park before Leadville since we spent more time in Leadville on this trip.
Thanks for sharing! Awesome video guys!
Thank you!
which campsite number is this?
Hello! I believe we were at campsite 100 at the White Oaks Campground. We would definitely recommend this site as we only had guests on one side of us and we were right beside the creek! It was a wonderful campsite that we hope to stay at again in the future!
Wasn't able to get there 2years because of road closures
Oh bummer! Hope you get another chance to go back. The scenery was incredible!
How cute!! Love it!
Thank you!!
Stupid music
Nice video and I say this both as a composer and former Olympic NP Ranger/manager of the Quinalt Ranger station. You have got to change the music. It's way too busy and distracting in much of it. It just sounds cheap like you found it off some royalty-free website. There are a million Celtic/Irish airs set to harp, fiddle, and whistle that would sound a sh$% ton better. Anything acoustic in nature could work be in new age of classical Just being honest and I think most people would agree. The video itself is beautifully filmed. A little narration about the areas you're visiting I think would peak more interest as well. I'm not a CZcamsr and have no desire to be one.
Thanks for the feedback! It’s always appreciated.
Hello, when did you film this? We are going late June early July.
Hello! We were in Olympic the beginning of September 2020! Hope yall have a wonderful trip!

Tide Book ? Would have been perfect for 2 with other couple driving. The Shipwreck Coast Trail from Rialto going north bail out at Odette or cross the river at low tide go to ShiShi Beach. Last year should have been the last of removing all Mountain Goats from the Olympics . They airlifted them most into North Cascades then scattered central and South Cascades here. Now they are bringing in an animal missing since the 1900s and it is the Fisher kinda looks like an otter.
Did you know the Quinault RainForest has 6 different tree species out of our 8 record breaking trees . 2 Types of Hemlock are in the Enchanted Valley . The Giant Red Cedar came down in a storm but lucky the park had the 2nd biggest now the biggest. Looks like the tide was out but did you go as far as Hole in the Wall at Rialto Beach.
That is awesome! We did not know that about the trees. It was an incredible place! The tide was coming in while we were at Rialto Beach so we had to hike up the mountain side trail to the back side of the hole in the wall to get up close to it. Check out this video to see the adventure getting there. czcams.com/video/n3aHNxOAWyk/video.html
Yeah September sun but when your in the shadows it gets chilly . I live 25 miles from the Longmire entrance and do the Skyline for exercise except for the last year. I will attempt it in April when the trail is covered with snow for my 70 BD. I watch Jay Wanders come 2 Sept in a row and each time it snowed on him and then the 3rd year He got snowed on last day of summer here doing the P.C.T.
Wow that is incredible! What a way to spend your 70th!
Was just there two weeks ago. Several nice beaches along that part of the Coast. We stayed at the beautiful Kalaloch Lodge. Stunning views. Then we went on the Hoh River hike and the Moss Tree Trail. An absolutely amazing fantasyland adventure.
Awesome! Yes, that is a fantasy/fairytale land for sure. One of the most unique places we've been!
How was the line to get to the Hoh forest?
Love both ruby beach and Lake Quinault. Had the best Is salmon ever at Lake Quinault lodge.
Love the water in that canyon, the stairs looked so cool to decend down (though looked a little bit more tiring for the way up haha)! Nicely done guys!
Thank you!! Yes the water was beautiful! While we were there, the water levels were down so we were able to get close to the falls where most of the time you can only see it from the top of the stairs.
Love it!!!!
Thank you Haley!
Hahaha loved the ending!
Haha thank you! We tried to bring some laughter to the video!
Poor music
Thanks for the feedback! Trying to improve with each video.
Looks like it was an amazing trip! That's great you guys were able to pivot the trip and still get to see so much! We've done Rocky Mountain National Park and a few areas within an hour or so of Denver, but have so much more to explore in Colorado! Loved the commentary and filming guys, keep up the great work! New to the channel, and just subscribed! 😊
Thank you! We hated to miss Rocky Mountain National Park but now we have a great excuse to go back to Colorado!
I see you published this in November but when was your actual visit?
Hi Tricia! We visited both Olympic National Park and Mt Rainier National Park in September 2020!
I want to go there!
Highly recommend taking a trip! I have never seen a beach so unique and beautiful!
Love the waterfalls!
