@@brotherbor yeah check them out. They have quite a few nice 3d printed pieces. The prices are reasonable too. I'm trying to get as many as I can before they go defunct or raise prices significantly.

It is a very clever apparatus. Very simple to do. If you can cover a box and turn a box over, you can do it. It's 100% self working and baffling. I like it very much. Thanks for looking and commenting.

@@bloodmoney80 It does indeed look nice, but the sound is a letdown. It is of course very difficult to make it silent. This one also has a slight disadvantage compared to the more traditional pyramid of blocks, which allows for freely showing the sleeve/cover after each turnover.

@@mroek I agree. I do wish you could remove some blocks. I think there is a way with this pyramid design that it could be done. It would be a little more involved though. There is some material in there to dampen the sound but it doesn't do too much. Unfortunately this 3d printed material is percussive as all get up. I'm gonna fool with it some and see if there is a way to lessen the sound. Some collectors of these types of pieces like to think of the sound as "it's just the magic happening" 😁 thanks for looking and the comment. Have a good day.

Hey Jay, how are you doing, buddy? it's good to see you showing another trick. How is the photography going? Are there any new cameras in your collection? I can't take a pic to save my life, lol. I'm not very artistic. Just a good drummer and decent card magician. Lol. I had written you 2 messages after your last video, or was it a video before that? Who cares? 😅 I had bored you by telling you a little about me, and I mentioned that i would share a trick w you. I didn't hear back, not that you had to reply, lol. I forgot to send a trick to you. I had taken a few weeks away from card magic w the cards of busy, crazy days. I had to catch up on life in other ways. Lol. Im slowly getting there, but as you know, surprises always seem to pop up now and then. So, basically, we are never caught up, lol. I have learned some dam good card tricks lately. I couldn't wait to practice the old tricks before i forgot them, or i had to look them up on youtube or in the books. I usually write the instructions down, but i got busy and lazy. I started writing the instructions down again so i can practice and keep up my game, like i do w my drumming. Fun, busy, fun, fun, busy. 😅 I want to tell you about 2 awesome tricks, both tricks use blank decks. I will get them to you some way, day and time. As for this trick that you sent. I watched it off and on 3x, and I listened through the whole video each time early fri afternoon. I need to sit down and get the cards because it is confusing. When I was watching the final video after editing it, I was confused how to do the trick lol I really didn't have the energy to do it, I probably should have waited to make it. I will probably make a second video soon to explain the explanation lol

My back hurts, and no doctor wants to give pain meds. I get cotizone shots in both knees every 3 mths. They were helping for about a year and some, but then I tried 3 more times, and if it helped a week, i was lucky. I quit going for 8 mths, then i went in early feb, and i felt really good for a mth 1/2, then the medi slowly wore off. I'm going again in May, so well, see how or if it helps. Cortizone isn't good for us. I'm thinking about getting new knees soon. Physical therapy doesn't work. Im bone on bone, arthritis, with torn meniscus in both knees. I was sick in bed, mon through thurs, this week. I think i had a touch of the flu. I felt great today. I was behind, so i did about 3 days today. Lol. Im sore from cutting grass, drumming earlier, going to pharmacy, post office, and I did a big food shopping today. I hope I can move my body around tomorrow. Im going over my moms. She is 83 and doing great, but she needs help. So, i will do my chores, and we play a few games of cards. She wins a lot. I do a bunch of card tricks and go home to die. Lol. I told her earlier to pull out her coffin because I might need it. Haaa haa. I'm sore now, and i am super tired. I think i might be getting that Chinese disease. DRAGON ASS. Haaa haaa. Yeah, I see most people avoid the Hammond count these days. It doesn't look bad to me though. When I see pros do it, they do it faster. I chose to keep it more natural here. If you're a magician, and you know the count it may look obvious to you but to a spectator who has most likely never seen it, they won't notice it. Especially if it's in person and not on camera. If you're afraid it will be seen, try the omega count in place of Hammond. Thanks for looking.

@bloodmoney80 , Lol. Thanks, Jay. I like using gimmicked cards and dble stick tape, so that is up my alley. I do a lot of tricks with dble back cards and dble face cards, but mostly on days when I'm 2 faced, haaa, lol. I enjoy doing the Elmsley count and the Hamsly count. I forgot about the other count. Hey, glen how have you been? My second time with the COVID. Wasn't as bad this time as it was back in 2020 thankfully. I became kind of jaded with the magic community. I got attacked by a couple of magicians after that blank acaan tutorial video. I do appreciate all of the positive comments I received from subscribers including yourself though. Also, I work a 9-5 job. This CZcams channel is just for fun. I always go through down times. I've been spending more of my free time with my photography. But now that I have some new cameras to play with and a new ring light, I decided to shoot some videos. Unfortunately, I don't know if the doozie deck is available anywhere. I got it from penguin magic. My memory is really really poor for a 44 year old. I really can't remember the name of the trick I modelled this after. It was in penguins top tricks for a while. It's not there anymore. I have a trick I call Mumbai. It's inspired by Eddie Joseph's Bombay. I'm thinking about releasing a tutorial for that soon. It's a pretty cool prediction effect. The spectator cuts the deck. Adds the values of the two cards he cuts to. Then he counts down that number and lands on a card. That card matches a card you have in a prediction envelope. I have 3 different versions so I'm between teaching all three or just the easiest version. And keeping the other two for myself 😁 Anyway it's good to hear from you. @bloodmoney80 - Hi Jay, thanks for your kind reply. Im doing really well at the moment. I appreciate you asking me. As long as I can stay motivated, active, and keep busy with things, then I will be ok. I can't push myself like I used to, but I have been keeping my foot on the accelerator lately, so I can maintain my focus and do what is important to me to accomplish each chore / goal. I say that because both of my knees can hold me back by hurting terribly. I have a torn meniscus in both knees, along w bone on bone arthritis in both knees. So, ya, i can get a little depressed and burned out faster than what i used to. I can still bust my butt because im so used to hurting most days. I get cortizone injections every 3 mths in both knees. I have been getting the injections for a few years, and it sorta helped at first, but after a while, i noticed it wasn't as effective. I got an injection in sept, 2023 and told my dr that im not coming back in December. .. I had been telling him each of the last few visits that it was not helping me, and i tried other avenues, but i didn't have much luck. I didn't go in for my December 2023 because i wasn't wasting anyones time since it didn't help me. I can't believe that is the only medicine that he can inject me with. I was really hurting in december, January, and i saw my pcp beg of feb, and he gave me some things to check on for myself. I was desperate for relief, and no one wants to prescribe pain meds anymore, so i suffef. Well, I called the dr on feb 7th and had my injections on feb 9.. I felt great for almost 3 weeks, and then it started to wear off. I have my good days, and bad. I will write ya back later. I want to address your situation. But. This is already too long. Sorry. I was half asleep last nite, and I wanted to reply to your message about comment on a few of the things that you mentioned, and after complaining about my knees, I was drifting off, and had to die, lol. Knees are good today. 👍 My knee dr is cool. I always do a few card tricks for him when i saw him every 3 mths. Lol. I told him in September that i wasn't coming back in December since the shots didn't help. October thru January I was in desperate need for relief, and I went back for injections in February. I had good relief for the first 3 weeks, Then i felt the pains starting again. Im dealing with it. Im going back in May. It helps for me to stay active and keep busy. Im a drummer. Ive been drumming for about 50 yrs. Im 57. Im looking for a new band to join, and I practice 5 to 6 days a week to keep myself in shape. I feel great while im playing. But, after beating the drums and myself up, i need a hot shower, lol. I hope you are feeling better. I never had covid. You are a lucky guy to get it twice. 😮 Now, dont get it again. That sucks about other magicians jumping on you when you taught that blank acaan card trick. Why would they do that? Its a great card trick. Was it not your trick to teach? I learned a similar acaan trick using a regular deck of cards, and it is just like your blank cards trick. You turn over about 4 cards from the bottom of the deck face up and keep them on the bottom of deck. You put a 2 of hearts face up and put it as the 5th card from the bottom. Turn over a few more cards face up and put them on top of the 2H. Turn the deck back over, and to do the trick, you force another 2H on spectator. He puts it in middle of deck face down. Do false shuffles / cuts keeping the bottom cards intact. He gives you a number from 5 to 30. If he says, 20, then after you deal 15 cards face down on the table, you get a little distracted and can move the card box to other side of table, or pick your nose, lol. While doing that, you turn your hand over and continue counting and dealing the next 5 cards face down, until you get to 20, and show his card. You could do a color change, and have the 2H face up instead of face down, to hide the color change and accuse him for not putting his card in the deck face down, 😂 lol. I recently learned a very cool acaan trick that uses 2 decks. Its easy, and I will share that one with you later today. Im gona let you run, coz i gotta do a few things. Im glad you were able to get back to showing card tricks on youtube. You seem like a great guy , and you are an excellent card magician. I hear ya Jay, we all get burned out from time to time. Thats great to hear about you doing photography. Do you take photos of anything and everything, or do you only have certain interests, like nature or animals in the wild? You are correct. I haven't pulled this one out In a while but it is some gaffed and dome regular cards I believe. Gaffs similar to monte yes.

In a current magic climate that's become so commercial and people are selling overpriced rehashed effects all over the large magic sites. I don't think showing people a spin on a very old trick, on an unmonetized CZcams channel is a problem. Conjurors have been around since ancient Egypt. First documented performance of cups and balls was 2700BC. Every magic idea at this point is a modification of an old one. 90% of what you find at magic dealers isn't original. Magic is something that should be enjoyed, fun and shared with people who are interested. Not protected and hidden away so a select group can profit off of it. It's the year 2023 with internet and smart devices. If somebody wants to know how something is done they can find an answer.

Well, it was more than I should have drank but thankfully by morning I was back to normal. First thing I did when I was able to interact with the material world was have a nice glass of scotch. It was not an unpleasant experience, being invisible but it will definitely be better to consume the serum in smaller doses.

I am able to interact with the physical world now but I'm still mostly invisible. Hopefully all will be back to normal by morning.

Music is Russ Garcia and album called fantastica from 1959. Sometimes, one needs a nice cup of coffee to get the magic flowing.
