Hi Serena I wanted to give my thoughts. I got back into collecting like right before with the TikTok surge of Blythe. When I was younger and first learning of Pullip and asian doll collecting, I saw Blythe and decided she was not for me very quickly, I've been a Pullip collector for several years so it wasn't until I saw recently what people were doing with Blythe that I was interested in maybe getting 1. To clarify I'm not a fan of Blythe's sculpt, shiny face, the entirety of her stock body or that you can't freely move her eyes but I always loved her eye mech, the customizable eyelids and big eyes like Pullip which is where my very small interest stopped for many years. But recently I learned that you can have matte any Blythes face, make them "sleep" like Pullip, rebody them to "better quality" more articulated bodies in my opinion like azone or 1/6 bjd bodies which has made me very interested in making my own custom-factory Blythe from an artist viewpoint in my sea of Pullips. I actually went researching after I heard you say the term "factory Blythe" on tt and found 1 singular stock Blythe I actually like but she's like 1k+ and way too hard to find on the reseller market due to being a collaboration with an anime. I also couldn't find reviews or photos of her really which makes me think Blythe is made in smaller batches than Pullip which might be why it's easier to collect stock Pullips vs collecting stock Blythes like you said and also the fact that on release they seem to be the same price as Pullip but are harder to find on the resell market and their prices go higher than Pullip for resell. Which might be why they are a less of a collector item in their stock form. I also wanted to say after coming back to the Pullip community I see people who only collect custom dolls often, I've seen it several times with people who amassed large Pullip collections, then sold them all and now only collect custom ones either by famous customizers or make their own which is a phenomenon that is sooo interesting to me.

Your videos are very much a staple on my watchlist so if you don't want to be on camera you don't have to. The videos like these where the center focus is just what you're working on, are like perfect. You talked about struggles getting into adulthood and like most things you say I resonate lol, watching your content and being inspired to get back into collecting / cleaning up dolls has really helped with my stresses in that area but when I can't do that, it's ok to take things in strides, Im literally stressed and overwhelmed like 80% of the day with thoughts of the future and where life is currently. Sometimes you just need a 2 weeker or month to just unwind yourself, no big deal .
