Hi Ben, this is my first time growing any veg and your videos are ace! I followed the video for broccoli and planted out 1 month ago (in Cornwall, UK). They’ve grown rapidly outside, however they’ve gone to flower and doing a little Google it appears they’ve ‘bolted’. Does this mean I need to get rid of the crop or is there anything I can do to save them? Thank you

Not seeing many recipes in the comments, so: slice up your shrooms, toss 'em in some salt, pepper, and olive oil. then bake 'em until they're crispy - maybe about 30 minutes if you're baking at 175 C / 350 'Murican.

My official garden is on hold and am doing some containers and some in ground plants near the house in a more French style of cottage garden. The main focus for us this year and next is converting three acres of yard and corn field into flower meadow. The corn field has very little organic matter left as it's been best up for five years straight with corn corn corn corn & corn. So we're doing sunflower, crimson clover and Mexican sunflower for NPK heavy organic matter and N fixing in school me spots and straight wildflowers/ annuals in other spots.

hey ben - i just started gardening this year. my grandma passed and now im slowly moving into her house - she always had a huge field in her garden where she grew a lot of crops. im doing the same now, i found some 10-15 year old potatoes that she put aside for planting but never got around to it well 2 months ago i planted them along with many other veggies and theyre looking great! thank you for all the videos you make - makes for a great binge watch!

most plants you really want to raise seedlings. it's a bugger when you plant a handful of seeds only, and then they dont come up. you've wasted a part of the warm season and the space. i do use cell trays, rather than mucking about with lots of pots. planting them out young in warm weather, rather than having very large seedlings, ensures they take into soil quickly. i also prefer premium seeds, with relevant anti disease coating and strongest new F1 variety. if the packet of seeds costs no more than a kilo or two of the full grown crop, you know you'll get your money's worth. which is always the case.
