Replacing a Tie Rod End on a Peugeot 307. It had some play, and the steering wheel was shaking at certain speeds. Fixed the Tie Rods on both sides, then the car had an alignment, the shaking was pretty much gone by then. Changed the back tires to the front and then the problem was solved, so car needs 2 good tires on the front.

    The nut you see is a jam nut, aka flange nut or lock nut. It has to be tightened to spec and and can't be reused. Magic Tilt trailers out of Florida uses Knott hubs with jam nuts on some of their popular boat and jet ski trailers and you can buy them online. . This is not a castle nut. No cotter pin. Bearing Buddies are not needed, these are sealed for life, no additional grease other than what you see in the video on the spindle to attach the hub assembly. You can buy Knott hubs that are factory replacements, all ready sealed for life through Magic Tilt trailer dealers in Florida. Knott hubs are made in Europe. Look online. Easy.

    Thanks for doing this video, I took the radiator out, remove the plastic guard first to clear the fan, made getting to the crank pulley bolts and wrestling it off much easier, same is true of the fan and much easier access to the timing chest and no risk of damaging the radiator core when fighting with the tools in the narrow gap, using a impact gun also saves jamming the flywheel.

    easy way to get better access to the bottom crank and undo the 10mm bolts, grab a piece of pine wood, round 40cms long, put on floor jack, position pine wood under the drivers side engine mount, undo the 2 engine mount bolts and lower with floor jack, better access now, when finished, jack up and secure engine mount

    Do you need to open the bleeder while wedge the brake pedal? I think i have a clogged brake hose…

    • @JackTekkel
      @JackTekkel Před 2 lety

      If you open up the bleeder and push the brake and fluid comes out then it's probebly not clogged. It sometimes happens that the inside of the brake hose is worn out and that fluid can only go to the caliper but not back up. Thus resulting in a stuck caliper. Sometimes the square cut seal in the caliper is worn.
