I absolutely love Iceland. My boyfriend and I went last june, did the ring road, west fjords, and the golden circle. A trip I still talk about to this day. We had full sun the entire time somehow 🥰

I love Iceland, that was our very first adventure as a married couple and we plan to go back for our 35th wedding anniversary in a couple years. I hope you have a wonderful time together, you deserve it.

Icelands food prices not much different to hear in BC canada

Did a trip to Iceland backpacking 2 years ago, seeing a lot of the same sights you just showed. Great memories.

When people say "the pilot" if referring to an incident, don't forget there are usually 2 pilots so actually both pilots made the error switching the fuel tanks. One pilot is supposed to move the handle while the other pilot verifies it. But I suspect they were trying to land in bad weather and the pilot flying had his hands full doing the approach on instruments so he didn't verify the movement of the fuel handle. I almost chose to be based in Keflavik over Sicily but I chose the latter. I understand the locals can come on the Navy base without restrictions and was told made some interesting stories getting visitors at night in the barracks.

It is fascinating how Iceland has the right to hike across the land as part of the law there. "Icelandic law allows people to enjoy nature, so long as they are responsible! If you want to hike across uncultivated land, you have the right to do so without asking permission."
