Lake Powell Before it was lake Powell. Boy Scouts of America River rafting trip down Colorado River
Boy Scouts of America River Rafting trip down Colorado River before Lake Powell. My Great Grandfather Earl Davis took a group of Scouts including my Grandfather Elwood Davis, down the Colorado river before they filled Lake Powell. Earl Davis earned the highest Boy Scout award The Silver Beaver. Earl produced this video for the BSA to use as a training video. The BSA would not use it unless he was willing to remove the part where they retired the flag at the end. He would take that part out.

I don't suppose you have any plans or anything like that which you could share? My 3 week old just passed and I always said that if any of my children or family members pass before me, I'd like to build their coffin. This was beautiful.
Beautiful work. Truly a work of love. Im going to have to build my own. Would you happen to have the plans for the one you built?
love it. you all did a freaking awesome job, a lot of LOVE went into that.
Très joli. Vous lui rendez un magnifique hommage. Respect

well put together. many compliments. My brother used to make caskets back in the early 60s. This was a true artisan's work. Higher grade than the normal cabinet maker
What beautiful craftsmanship.

Cody, you and your family did a beautiful job! Veterans day this year (2020) we celebrated my moms 99th birthday! She is quite a lady and nearly everyone in our community calls her Mom! Unfortunately, just before her birthday, doctors discovered a very large tumor in her brain and she only has a few months left to live. She absolutely loves it when one of her sons "make" her something, as we are all experienced wood building hobbyists. Is it possible to get a plan of this casket? I am sure we can reproduce it from your video (not entirely reproduce as we have some ideas of our own), but it would help take some of the guesswork out of it. you can respond here if you like or reach me at rsstarnes@outlook.com. thanks!
Unfortunately we didn’t have any plans. It just kinda came together as we went along. I’m sure you will come up with something amazing.
Do you by chance have plans for this do you? Would like to build one for my 99 year old mom. Thank you
WOW, WOW, WOW!!!, well done you guys amazing job, xx 💚🍀 xx
This was truly beautiful. He would be proud

I’m sure your dad loved it. About three years ago, my siblings and I built a similar casket for my dad, using his tools, in his shop, with what he taught us and in his style. It was a very meaningful experience for all of us. I hope it brought your family together as it did ours.
thank you
Love built for the man in the box.God bless All who worked on love and caring.❤❤❤
Hello, Cody! I'm a lady who loves wood-want a violin placed under my left arm and my guitar under my right-None of this hand-holding pre-arranged placement for ME! But PINE will be expensive-and shipping the old bones from California will be expensive! I saw a video of another wood-crafter in No. Carolina, who made BOOK-CASES that disassemble-or "reassemble" AS caskets, but I can't find him anymore! I've read the Bible several times , and I still don't understand why from "dus to dust, and ashes to ashes" should mean cremation-The Egyptians only had to cover themselves with CLAY and become lowered into the KILN for their final resting spots ? Being a sculptor, I kind'a like that idea-then the family can fight over the STATUE instead of little pots flll of ashes, right ? ANY SUGGESTIONS? I'm "dead-serious" too.
Exceedingly well done.
