Podcast topic idea: Zwiftcast talks about racing a lot of the time - but rarely about the ordinary people, the back-of-the-pack people, the slow riders. Might I suggest you talk about that at some point? And may I also suggest you talk to Linda @zwiftingwithgranny She is an inspiration for all of us at the back who are often ignored. She recently wrote an article for Zwift insider about how Zwift has helped her through recent life difficulties. Just lately she's had a knee replacement and all her Zwift riding has helped her heal quickly.

Bravo. It's about time the message got thru to Zwift HQ that forcing users to re-earn their banked XP was a mistake from the start, and that by stubbornly compounding that mistake over multiple iterations, they've frustrated their long-term users and made XP and XP Levels ludicrously meaningless. Time to bite the bullet and take a Roto-Rooter to the entire XP and Leveling scheme, ASAP.

Something not pointed out about the lack of class of MyWhoosh is that is appears to be just another ad campaign for the despicable government of the UAE. They can afford to be "free" (if you don't count losing part of your soul) because the UAE is pumping oil money into cycling to distract from their horrible human rights record via sportswashing. Their intention could be to keep MyWhoosh around as a "free" product for a while, then turn off the money spigot, after they feel their goal has been achieved They might have no intention of building a long-term business.

This has made me so happy. Thank you all for making my year.

Great little video. Makes you appreciate all the tech input. My eyes are too hazy to see it so clearly when im climbing it though!

I don't use a turbo trainer that much, if I can help it. But when I do, I find that because there is no movement in the bike or handlebars, I was getting shoulder and neck aches and sometimetimes some back aches. Since building my own rockerplate type of platform, I've found that I no longer suffer with these issues. I no longer use the standard front wheel block supplied with many trainers. I Just have a flat block, the same height as the rear wheel. This allows the handlebars to move freely.

They have these tools, and still they aren't able to match the asphalt to the ground... it's 2021, zwift is making a lot of money, yet we are riding our bikes on floating asphalt.

Exciting times!

Fascinating video! I'm relatively new to Zwift (February 2021) and love it. It was really interesting to see the history of Zwift's development. In terms of future developments, I'd like to see more Zwift-organised large-group events. I also think differentiating between "community races" vs "elite/competitive races" would be interesting. Sarah on the the Channel "Everything is Photogenic" has two excellent vids talking through her gripes about Zwift, with suggestions. Worth a watch - put the kettle on as they are also about 1 hr total! p.s. I can't believe you have so few likes to this video. I can see why you decided to stick with the audio podcast.

I loved this look back in time and all the wonderful commentary about how to continue improving the platform. I am really excited for the investments I am seeing at Zwift HQ to address a lot of what you brought up. Ride on.

Just absolutely delighted to see this Zwiftcast. My favourite Zwift info channel. Edit: DEFINITELY should be open world. Because I *like* Zwifting in a lonely place. When there are tons of people around I can't stand it - it makes me anxious. So not only should it be open world, there should be LOTS more worlds and courses added so I can be alone if I want to be.

Getting stuck behind a rider even when your going faster and punching out more w/kg is the single thing I hate most about Zwift.

Wahoo Headwind has a big problem: it's very noisy! It arrived today and I asked for a refund tonight. I find it really unacceptable that a fan costing € 229.99 makes such a loud noise.
