@@iknownotwhoiam1716 yes it is advisable to do so. Atleast that's my practice. Because you can't check the life of second one which is not leaky or whatever. Over the period there must be some things which may created an issue after first replacement. The load carrying capacity and all factors are there to consider. So best is to replace both rather than only one. Thanks

@@ayushpratap4221 not made by me. And I don't recommend this setup since it has its big flaw. The setup was done by someone else and bike came to me for some other work. Cantilever setup is always dangerous for crank and this same flaw is in UCE.

AFR concept is based on the air soap bubbles... If you know... Less you blow less bubbles you see in the air... But appropriate you blow you see good bubbles... If you blow more then you see nothing... So kind of that is works. If less then lean if more then nothing but little risher side if appropriate then perfect. Lean makes engine hot rich makes over carbon and perfect makes proper mixture. And yes remember setting of AFR is applicable only till the pilot circuit is on. It's useless when the circuit switch over to main jet. Then it is controlled by needle and slide rather than AFR screw. For testing you can try all settings. Important is bunsen blue burning inside the chember. Which you can get by keeping 3. White flame is useless if 2 or less than that. Since it is lean side. Rich makes the combustion color orange so in all this number 3 I tested on multiple levels even though recommended by company. Just like you I was also curious. So I did some combustion testing and found 3 is go to go during pilot circuit. Bunsen blue was tought to us even in school in chemistry lab. Even in gas welding you must keep bunsen blue point for welding or cutting. So 2 means leaner side. And yes lean means you are heating up piston head. Fuel itself is a coolant for piston. So lean can make over heat. All though I know in lean mixture you will get good. Mileage but for short period and then engine damage issue. So I prefer 3. Thanks.
Is the play in clutch basket normal?
Little play will be there. You will fine in any motorcycle. But if too much then there is a problem. All though if there is a problem then you will have problem while riding. If no issues in ride quality then all good.

I did not have issues when I was riding himalyan but on my classic 350 I feel uneasy and too many jerks on my back. I think I am going to try adjusting the tension in my suspension to see if that will help.
Change the seat. It will help you better. Tension won't help you a lot or for long...
@@MechAutoClinic yes, absolutely, that to will be done but I plan to do suspension adjustment to see how it syncs with my drive. It's important to feel the small changes and do things 1 by one.
Mid setting is better for ON and OFF roads. Check that and then decide. Thanks.

i wish i could've seen this video 4 yrs back! I have found this issue issue in a hard way because the so called "RE service professionals" keep on blaming the battery and made me to change 3 Battery, and more than 10 visit to different mechanic... Finally, decided not spend again on RE as the quality is so cheap and disconnect the Meter cluster and no more battery discharge.

AVL timing cases with some modifications are used by many for Ci 500 & 535 engines. Apparently, there were two oil pumping circuits coming for geared AVL timing cases ( two timing covers and gaskets) - Pre & post July 2002 as per RE spare manuals. Any information about the working and usage of these high flow pumps for Ci engines with some mods?
RE never used AVL timing cover on CI engines. It was done by some techs who are operating their workshops in the market.

Hello sir i have the same issue with my thunder Bird 500 i changed the battery n same issue is there as it is . If i didn't use bike for 10 to 15 days my battery drained out even my bike didn't start with kick start . Yes bt i have problem in speedometer my digital console is not working like no trip meter, avg, time , n fuel not showing on meter bt rpm meter is working. So sir is there any issue to drainage my battery in 10 to 15 if not in use ?????
Disconnect the speedo meter and recharge the battery. And again check for battery voltage after some days. If everything works fine then speedometer has got a internal issue which is draining thr battery.

You have not mentioned which bullet you have. Electra has two types of engine. One is standard cast iron engine and another is UCE engine. So unless I get to know type of engine I can't guide you. Thanks.

So you have UCE engine. I feel the auto decomp unit is not working. Check that.
I opened the magneto side but found no problem and re closed it than I opened the clutch cover,as i repulsed the all plates there I found that clutch chain is too tight due to reverse fitting of chain tensioner,when it is refitted in in other way mean latch in front side,some slack come in between ,my problem is rectified Thanks for attending e@@MechAutoClinic

Yes but it will increase height by almost 1"...you get gas filled suspension for old bullets and it has got smaller length than new type.

My 500 classic engine cuts out if i turn the trottle fast in the initial 10mm twist. If i manage to cross the first 10mm slowly the engine responds well. Even if engine is warmed up this still happens. On first start specially it starts on idle no problem but when i twist the throttle it cuts out. I have to twist slowly till 10mm of twist the its ok. Appreciate ur views Thanks
