Thank you so much for your hard work and the podcast, may I ask you to lower a tiny bit the music in the background, so the speech would sound clearer? Because it kinda hurts in the ear when I higher up the sound and the music get higher and overwhelm the speech, sorry, and thank you again!

9:48 始める and 初める is it different?
Arigato gozaimasu for your question❣ Kanji 始 means "to start", and 初 means "first time". So, use 始 for はじめる, not 初. 初 is for はじめて(初めて).
