Can someone explain to me why the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Management of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management Dennis Chung cannot provide the people of Jamaica the emergency response numbers?? He could not confirm if shelters were opened or not! He said he “…got the impression that shelters were opened” Can someone tell me why he is so unprepared to answer basic questions that anyone could easily anticipate?? When it comes down to the facts he clearly doesn’t have them!! Same thing for the Mayor of Montego Bay! He could not provide phone numbers for people to call in cases of emergency when there is a record breaking hurricane at our doorstep!! How incompetent can these leaders be?? These guys have to realize that the set of Jamaicans that they were used to that were ill informed and backward and act solely alone party lines are are not the Jamaican of today. Do not underestimate us, do your jobs properly or exit the office to allow competent leaders to take over. For the interviewer: Why are you not doing proper follow ups to ensure the questions are being answered? You are there to make sure the people of Jamaica are fully informed by probing and getting the information/answers that are necessary and that can save lives, your job is not to provide cover for these incompetence good for nothing bench warmers.
