I managed to remain at home for precisely 4 days after returning from Uni before I was told, you're not sitting around here all day. I was asked to go out, get a job and 3 months later they persuaded me to leave...I was 21 years old. I never returned! :) No pen knife, just a boot up the arse.
Spiffing stuff! 👏👏👏
"....and in my own clothes." LOL, so random!
I knew it!
Bit upset I'm not the chosen one, sounds like a right hoot.
Id rather be homeless pops.
The hero's journey...in a comedy sketch!
Cleese could have played the butcher
Outside Royston! My home town
Like the way Eric almost lyrically alliterates the letter p in his insults, except the last sentence which is the letter t.
"Per pound, you slimy trollop? What kind of a ponce are ya?!"
Had this happen to me before. Couldn't tell at times if he was scolding me or just sounding that way accidentally, he had a hungarian accent so I didn't say anything because I didn't want to just assume the worst due to a miscommunication. Turns out after the fact he kinda did hate his job, so who knows.
Genius
Divus è la mia buonanotte ogni sera 😅
I'm going to be 25 in a week and I'm waiting for this conversation from my dad! 😂 I've been watching this sketch on and off since I was 16 and always thought that just before I turn 25 I am going to come back here and make that comment! Pretty sad I know 😂
Awww that is so sweet. I am 20 now and will come back when I am almost 25, God willing :)
Lot of people these days need their parents to pull this on them.
This gave me strong Jordan Peterson vibes.
I'm pretty sure I've dated this person at least three times. XD
is that house Md
this is how he started his doktor carreer.
Uncharacteristically for me, I saw the end coming.
I love the way Fry says 'please Timothy let me tell this in my own way, in my own time, in my own clothes!'..
Oh do you now, oh really?
❤
Yes I do by crikey!
Timothy the Te'ver'en
I love this skit🤣❤️
Use your own you great poovy poonhanger
I believe that would be pole-hanger???
I moved out at 18, moved back in at 23 and then out again at 25. Get a job before moving out, it will be smoother and get a job in your early 20's or at least the exact skill set.
I'd recommend a big full line spacing between those two things
I did a lot of in and out again with my parents. They are good people in the old way. I love em. But it is torture. I think I might have chosen to be homeless rather than live in their house anymore, and I actually like them as people, as individuals.
I don't understand the last bit of your comment "...at least the exact skill set".
@@PlayNiceFolks The skill you need to have some type of job.
Fun Fact : "Punac the Destroyer" was actually a typo in the script for "Sunak the Tory".
Shows how ridiculous all those legends and myths and their prophesies and requirements really are. Stripped to its essence, it's 'go over there and mess up this guy reak good. Here, use this stabby instrument".

Febbraio 2024 ora li fa tutti Pedro Pascal
Ma quindi se per un film vengono scritturati Adam Driver, Pedro Pascal e Pierfrancesco Favino che succede? Si crea un paradosso spazio-temporale? Voglio scoprirlo. Ora.

These words are such a higher level of swearing than I use, I am going to have to take a class or something so my swearing is much more interesting!
Arrest Stephen Fry! He's armed with a terrifying and highly lethal... Scout knife? To the gulag! To the Tower! To the very gallows! The safety of the Realm must be secured! Send out the Dragoons! Seize every blade, scraper, spatula, safety razor and toothpick!
Like a lah de dah poofter. You couldn’t say that nowadays.
I would and indeed do.
Good days when you could say just about anything with out this bullshit going on today political correctness what a load of shit
No, it IS funny ... But people were mercilessly cruel with (such) words back then ... Not right.
But these people are irrelevant losers and i totally ignore all of them. I say exactly what i want to say.
Angry man shouts at cloud
I say anything i want to say. Next?
Humour from the top team!
" Burwail the Avenger" 😂
Bipolarism is nothing to laugh about.
The humor in this comedy sketch is best viewed in light of the psycholigical manifestation of 'Passive - Aggressive' personality disorder. A psychology quite relevant in today's society where people feel safe from the consequences of thier horrid behaviour by being shielded by tribal lawyers ready to sue for any well desreved punch to the face which was historically a regulator of 'Polite Society' in Western Civilization.
well you have to be like an educated California woman who just escaped a life sentence as a not gold digger. You have to do everything completely.
Tough titty if it did 😂
Chad Pippin
used to work with somebody like this. Never quite sure where you stood 😂
Of course you wouldn't know, you daft old git.
One of Eric's, I believe. One in a series of sketches with language, like the anagram sketch and beginning of words, middle of words and end of words.
Comcast must have seen this and taken notes.
Eric Idle is my favorite actor in MP. This episode is one of the best in MP history. "The Argument" sketch is a close 2nd with Michael Palin and John Cleese.
- I learned all my early British insults from this show... _and_ saw nudity on the telly for the first time. Public television in its prime!
Rather like being a British tourist after Brexit😅
i live in royston. we don’t have an orphanage.
Yeah well maybe you did back then eh
I didn't comment for an argument.
