    This is ridiculous.... Its nothing more than an expensive apartment complex without a parking lot. The " grocery store" has a monopoly so their prices are higher than normal . I'm sure leftist will like the idea.

    I have a suggestion for you all at the Culdesac. If you are still building I suggest you run a couple of thousand ft. of trenches at 8ft. deep and run pipes through the bottom. Bring the pipes up into each unit and you have geo air conditioning. It would save thousands for your tenants in electricity bills, and you couldn't get more green. Imagine air-conditioned apartments for free, except for the electricity to power the fans and circulate the air through the pipes.

    I know exactly where that Culdesac neighborhood in Tempe is. What if you work in Glendale, are you still allowed to have a car if you live there? Is there somewhere safe you can park your vehicle?

      They have a couple parking lots from what I’ve seen but it doesn’t look like enough for everyone that lives there to have a car parked on the lot. It’s still only half built though

    Yet people do it all over the world. It might not seem leisurely to you, but to many, it is not that bad. I ride my bike rain or shine, hot or cold, and so do millions of others. There is also the bus, uber, ride share, and the light rail if someone doesn't want to ride or walk in the heat. Plus, on a bike, you create your own cooling breeze, so refreshing. When it's hot, I spray a fine mist of water on myself, which cools me and feels good to boot.

    I bought my home a few years before I turned 30. I chose a suburb because I like seeing nature instead of other peoples houses. I am close to the city though which is great to visit and go grocery shopping. I couldn’t justify 2x my suburb mortgage to rent in a city

    I actually just really got tired of everything. Im a 22 year old woman. I moved into mi up. Because i wanted a place to raise kids that the government hasnt messed up yet. I dont want gunshots in my neighborhood. Ya know what? I bake bread and spot deer through my window wandering through the neighborhood. I laugh at the siblings racing each other down the street. The literal street, not the sidewalk. We don't have sidewalk. Kids sled down the road in the winter. I love it because i have a garden and room to grow. Im tired of living in a concrete jungle full of idiots and road ragers and karens.

    Well me personally - none of the bicyclists in my suburb follow road rules while riding on the road. They cruise through stop signs like pedestrians, when they are on the road and required to follow road rules the same as vehicles. Half the time they do not ride in the bike specific lane, but 7-10mph in the middle of the road causing cars to slow down and create traffic. That’s why I get mad at them 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @lifeoftennis1285
      @lifeoftennis1285 Před 4 měsíci

      A big reason for this behaviour is because of the fact that on those occasions, there really isnt a clear path or wide enough path for those cyclists For example to the right side there might also be people walking on the footpath and even impeding on the cyclists' lane, and to the other side there might be parked cars. Another thing is that it can be difficult to keep a straight and narrow line of travel when cycling. We need more Dutch-inspired traveling infrastructure reform. Where all modes of travel co-exist, but of course cyclists and walkers get priority on the same paths due to it being quicker, healthier, and more economical to cycle than if the same path was filled with cars

    I really believe this type of planned, medium-density community can be expanded to more areas of the U.S. as a sort of brand. If I find a Culdesac in Texas, Ohio, or New Hampshire, I know it will be near a public transit point and offer many amenities just a walk away. I can imagine living in one Culdesac community, then moving to another Culdesac in a different state if I need a change of scenary, but not a change in transportation habits.

    I lived in the La Paloma Apts next door when I attended ASU, just pre-light rail, when the Culdesac property was a trailer park and the staging ground for firearms celebrations on holidays. Yeah, it was that kind of neighborhood. I haven't lived in AZ since 2007, but I think this is a wonderful idea. It's already close to everything else. I used to bike all over.
