Hi Vivian, I think you look stunning in the dress, but I do understand your problem with the neckline. I am only a A cup so for me it's not a problem, but if you are bigger busted, then this could be a problem. You did a great job though!

You did a nice job on that dress and those tricky sleeves. Most every thing I make with a v neck or cross over is way too revealing on me. I have to adjust a lot. Now I pin the pattern pieces and sort of try it on. If it’s going to be plunging, I redraft it.

Hi Vani! Thank you for sharing your make! I agree with you the fabric isn’t overtly childish, your dress is really cute! I find that rayons jerseys can be lightweight but they drape so beautifully. The McCalls pattern is a tried and true for a lot of people from what I’ve seen, so a lot of good resources. I look forward to seeing your version! Have a great weekend!

Butterick 6981 Katherine Tilton pattern I think is an asymmetrical hemline. Very cool. I have B6977. I got it for the drop waist and it's a shirt dress. I need to find fabric for it. I also have B6729. I LOVE the polka dots and bias tape trim. I hope to find some nice polka dot fabric. That flounce is fun! You should sew that one soon. So cute.
