Listening to this song while on my break today might've been a mistake. If I cried in front of any of my coworkers, they'd bust my stones over it for weeks. Anyway, I know it's not what the song is about, but it reminded me of my cat who just passed away a few months ago. 18 years ago, we found her in a friend's garden. She was so little, we had to feed her from a bottle for a while. Almost immediately, Molly and I bonded. She always had to be by my side. She'd follow me everywhere, sit on my lap if I was watching tv or playing video games, sleep next to (or on) my legs every night... she was my best friend in the world for 18 years. I still have her favorite blanket. I still sleep under it every night. Just like this song's titular sweater, the blanket is all I have left of her, and I'll never let it go.
