Manuscript Reading-The Bus Roadeo: Fred meets Ike
This is one of the funny parts of my manuscript, "The Bus Roadeo". This reading is when Fred is trying one of his many ways of getting Dexter as a passenger that fails. He tries to dress up as a woman to get Dexter, but Dexter ignores him and walks onto his usual bus stop to meet Janine. A just released prisoner on the other hand takes a liking to Fred, fun ensues.

Manuscript Reading-The Bus Roadeo-Dexter and Janine's First Date

Never mind how bad I am reading this but this is one part of my manuscript "The Bus Roadeo". I am doing this in hopes of getting this manuscript turned into a book. I know two things here (1) I need a shave and (2) acting is not in my future.
Your support
zhlédnutí 46Před 13 lety
I am a new author trying to get support for my next manuscript, ""The Bus Roadeo" to get published. It is hard being a unknown author and trying to get a book published is very difficult. I did have one other book that came out, but with no real success and that was self published. In the coming days I will read some excerpts from that manuscript and if you like it, hit like comment and help me...
New Jersey Transit 3724?
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed 15 lety
Taken near Center City Philly, this Metro D is now about to leave Philly, back to New Jersey. This vid took almost 3 minutes to shoot because the light at this intersection took forever and a day to change. I nearly lost battery power this light took too long. You might hear me in the backround making comments on how long the light is taking to change.

Ride On 5546
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed 15 lety
Taken a few months ago, entering the Silver Spring Metro Station. This bus was supposed to be retired but may still be running. This and now retired 5547 were the only 2 Ride On Orion Vs that had 6V92s.
Mini Bus Parade Along Colesville Road
zhlédnutí 296Před 15 lety
Rolling up Colesville Road is a Ride On Gillig Advantage, an MTA D4500, a WMATA NABI 436, and a WMATA Metro E. Also behind them is a D41LFR and a Metro D.
WMATA 9483 84
zhlédnutí 818Před 15 lety
Leaving the Rhode Island Avenue Station, 9483 looks to be doing a short 84 run to Mount Rainier. This bus and the other 35 foot Flx Bs spent practically their whole lives at the Arlington Division before being sent to the Landover Division.
WMATA 9358 W13
zhlédnutí 541Před 15 lety
Taken in downtown DC, 9358 is doing an evening rush run, leaving downtown DC.

WMATA 5207

Taken near the Silver Spring Station, turning onto Georgia Avenue is 5207 doing a Y8. Most if not all of these buses are slated to be replaced by DE62LFAs.
WMATA 9826
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed 15 lety
Taken in downtown Silver Spring a few years back, these buses were due to be retired within the next year or so. Rumor has it that these, the 9700s and the Metro Es will be overhauled again and placed into the newest paint now seen on the NABI BRTs. Excuse the poor quality as these were taken on a CVS video camera.
WMATA 9222

Now retired, these were the second batch of Flx Metros to be delivered. Excuse the poor quality, this was taken by a CVS video camera.
WMATA FLX B F13

In its last days of service this bus was shot entering the PG Hospital Area on the F13. These particular buses 5166-5175 were briefly put into service by RIDE ON, and got the 3rd paint scheme treatment when they came back. This was recorded on a CVS video recorder so I apologize for the poor quality.
So wait these buses got replaced by the 2006 Orion V’s?
can I use this for a video?
I’m thinking of a Cummins L10 engine with Voith D86.3 or 6V92TA Detroit Diesel engine with V731(ATEC) Allison Transmission
The sound of the Detroit Diesel 6V92
The one time me and Nana rode the Flxible Metro B Suburban deluxe from Camden WRTC to Cherry Hill Mall on the 404 bus line
These Flxible Metro B suburban deluxe and Metro D suburban buses are memories now but Lakewood has 3057 and 3778 for history lessons
Were they still active in late 2006-early 2007?
Sounds like a rts bus
I wish that the maimi dade-county public transit authority could make some new flxible metro b buses someday just like the wmata had those 9200's flxible metro b buses before.
Wooooooo shit!
They were converted to electric start by me in 1999.
So I believe these came with air starters when they were new in 1985?
You're awesome
gotta love them neoplans
Is that the wmata flxible metro b 5166 bus?
I think a bus would sound more sexier wit' the 6v92TA an' the MT644 transmission.
one day metro wmata will resurrected these buses from the 40's 50's 60's and 70's and bring them back to life
5547 was wrecked and written off in, I think, 2000.
Very nice.
is that the 1993 Flixible?
+theyashapro No, this one is from 1990. This uses a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine to a Voith D863-W7.
i meant to type 1990 but my keyboard auto correct 1993
@@ClassicTVMan1981X I personally will never forget, Beeline had like 3 Flixibles or so that had the Cummins M-11 engine. Took one on the 2 (Tudor Woods) coming from Riverdale. Those buses were to die for!!!!
@@milestone_achiever4634 875 to 879 were what you are referring to, and those had L10 engines.
@@ClassicTVMan1981X thanks for the correction. Those Cummins Flixibles had a motorcoach appeal to them. Being on those particular Flixibles, it was as if you were riding on a motorcoach. Those L10s had that major rumble. This experience of mine resembles another past experience I had with Greyhound and their old MC series coaches originally with the 8V92 engine. I rode on one with a repowered unit.......... probably a series 60 or Cummins. This was many years ago
For the user formerly known as @ferryport1987: Yes, they are all retired.
What TA was this from?
TheCRTman Montgomery County Ride-On, Rockville, MD.
ClassicTVMan1981X Thank you.
robbieraeful Here's a 1985 Orion I 01.507 passing by at the Springfield-Franconia Station just before starting its next trip. This and all Orion I's were excised from FC at the end of 2007.
what does excised mean?
Retired/scrapped in this case.
ClassicTVMan1981X Can a 1985 bus in service in 2007 mean that a 1994 bus can still be in service in early 2013?
Maybe, although as years go by, this occurrence may be less and less as TA's look to reduce the average age of their fleets.
ClassicTVMan1981X Will the WMATA 1997 Orion V's phase out this year?
They don't make em like that anymore. My favorite buses that WMATA had were the 9600's.
I've only been on the ones from Ride-On in Montgomery County, MD.
Original powertrain: Detroit Diesel 6V71N (190 hp) with Allison MT644 transmission Rehab powertrain: Detroit Diesel 6V92TA DDEC (277 hp), retains original Allison MT644 transmission

@ClassicTVMan1981X I Know.
@jmjfanss Yeah, these used the Detroit 6V92TA DDEC + Allison V731. Except for units 9241-9269, which employed the Cummins L10 + Voith D863.2-W7.
For those who want to know the powertrain on these: the engine is the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA DDEC (originally 6V71TA) and the transmission is the Allison MT647 (originally MT644).
Sounds like GMC RTS.
the whine on this bus at the beginnin of the vid? MM MM MM!
its not being floored
yeah I noticed that when it came back to service, too bad they didn't replace it with orange signs like they did with 5579 (lol grp9949 is my old account...way to reply to a 2-year old comment lol)
@grp9949 ...which it did in February 2009.
This beast is screaming hardcore. Gotta love it!
Wow, This beast sounds like the Orion Is and Gilligs with that 6V92 engine. Awesome!
lovin da color scheme
That flx sounds like NYCMTA's TMC/ Nova RTSes.
Some of them but not all.
HAHAHAH! KITT's gained a few pounds!
i miss those flexible busses
30ft?
What kind of camera is this?
Nice California Stop the bus did. That's how we roll in Ca. :)
No more are at Western. Only Arlington, Annex, and Montgomery have them.
If some of these are still at western then they still probably run on this line.
Nice.
Hey I remember seeing these on the 42. Man those were the days.
I sure will miss those Flxibles, live in South Bend & travel to chicago once or twice a year to see them!
And yet your transit is so deficient...
downtown silver spring
Is 2309 still active ("kickin it") from South Division ?
