How do u know what rod and wire will work to wrap around
I make a sample what ever wire you use the rod has to be twice the size so the links can link together

you can achieve oval links by wrapping the wire around two smaller rods rather than one large one.. it has to be done by hand though usually.
What is the minimum and maximum Ar(Aspect Ratio) for this classic rope chain???
I think as big as you like as long as you can bend it but I wouldn’t go too small difficult to hold

Notes on the process: Those links are a bit loose, not as loose as the ones on the rope bracelet where you can barely tell that it's a rope but still. Also putting a box lock on a rope chain!?? It's a round link, should have been a barrel lock. At least you used some good music for the video, unlike most jewelry videos that use generic elevator crap music.
This was my first one I made I’ve made a better one in gold the video is on my channel also the lock is different thank you for watching
Huss. Is there a way to harden the tongue without hammering? How long do you hammer for? Cheers and thanks for the cool videos.
If you can use a lazer machine to solder its best to do it in two places if you have to hammer it it’s just enough to make it hard I test it as I go

I finally found the clue of my question that I was looking for on a lot of video’s of people making chain bracelets. But I still got a question ; I never see anybody filing or sanding the chains after soldering right before twisting it. So I wondered … I see it’s not necessary in your video so I assume that you have to use a little as possible of “solder” to fill the gap and on what position you want to have the soldered seams? Thanks and loved your video!

Love the video, how important is aspect ratio when it comes to making a Cuban link? I’ve made a couple of attempts but they all settle out in a traditional chain look and not in the Cuban style. I believe it’s the aspect ratio but maybe you can correct me if you know 🤷♂️ thanks!
Are you making oval links? They need to be oval then it’s how you file away the top to style it
@@MadeByHuss interesting, is creating the oval shape something most people don’t show? I’ve watched what feels like every video on CZcams of making Cuban links and you’re the only one I’ve ever seen make them oval shaped. What about the oval shape helps the Cuban lay flat?
