Eating body part isnt necessary it only increases the understandjng of the technique. Uro made the mistake of explaining her CT to Yuta, hit him with it multiple times, and he ate a body part. Dhruv used shikigami which woukd be easy for yuta to understand. He wasnt missing body part and Rika wasnt summoned or Ryu and Uro wouldn't be surprised when she is. Yuta also used charle's pen CT, and shrine, despite nanako having hid the last finger, so Yuta or Rika coukdnt have actually ate it. Its like maho's adapt, but 0-100 instead of 0-infinite.
