14plate diesel insignia hasnt moved in 3-4month was losing power, mechanic came out said glow plugs needed changing, filters done and a few other things, but weve done the smaller things like the filters started it up and thick white smoke came out, were unsure what it is as that wasnt before, doesnt have a sweet scent to it and coolant level seems ok, any ideas?

I recently got lets just say palmed with an astra 1.8 16v as the guy said it was mint and ran well which is not true within minutes engine is getting much hotter than should and had alot of sludge in coolant which looked like oil i searched and looked about and came to conclusion that it might be oil cooler when removing oil cooler gaskets were all hard and flat also built up with sludge at this point im really not sure what is it causing oil in coolant i have replaced oil cooler and also replaced thermostat as all seals were knackered in thermostat too when i ran the car it seemed to be pumping coolant back into reservoir with oil in well ive flushed full coolant system radiator comes out spotless clear water when i took hose off water pump could see alot of oil built up inside water pump and also same when i removed thermostat ive took valve cover off to find like a brown sludge built up then in corner like a yellow mayonnaise colour too could this be due to headgasket doing the exact same as this insignia in video please im stuggling with this one as im not really sure thermostat had been working correctly which has caused head gasket to blow

My Son has a 2012 Corsa, 1.0ltr Petrol, last week he was driving and it broke down, had to leave it at the side of the road, but when he went back to it, the thing started, So he tried to drive it home, but soon as it started to get warm it stops again, let it cool, it started again, and he thinks it keep draining the battery but he's not too sure. Any Clue what to look for ? it's parked outside the mechanics but they have just left it and keep telling him they haven't got round to it yet.
