I've been working super hard on Alice is Dead: Hearts and Diamonds and always forget to share work, and progress, etc, because I'm terrible at social media, lol. Though I remembered today while working and recorded real-time 15 minutes of me working on the new load screen. I recommend playing at increased speed unless you're REALLY interested in my sloppy strokes haha. BUT, this does go to show...

This is awesome, I loved playing these flash games when I was a kid. Just wishlisted on steam!
I really like how dingy and unwelcoming the original visual style felt. I almost feel that the new style takes away from that a bit. It comes off cleaner and less dirty, I get that it's part of becoming an HD game, but I hope it still feels kind of decrepit.

Cool! Did not thought that I will want to buy something from Steam. But you guys made me change my mind. Hope Steam will let me. But anyways, if I would not be able, I will do this later.
When the game is finished we will try to find alternative ways to really sit as well, like maybe on Itch.io

Hey! Thank you so much! Yes, the original games had to remain under 10 megs which is crazy small by today's standards lol. The games were short out of necessity lol! The new games are so much bigger already, a single room, one image is bigger than the whole old games were lol. Thank you and take care!

Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. Last night I spent 6 hours on a single screen of the new version. It's really taking me a long time to make it and I'm a little bummed out about that sort of like old hand drawn animation I'm not sure there's any way to speed it up.

A bit late to the party but the Alice is Dead trilogy was my favorite game series on Newgrounds back in the day (followed closely by Gretel and Hansel, which I'm sad never got a Part 3), and I'm extremely ecstatic to see that the love is being rekindled. I can't wait until it's fully out.

So excited for this, I keep checking the Steam page every week for updates, is this purely a remake or will there be extra stuff as-well? I had so many questions at the end of episode 3 XD
My current plan is to completely restore and polish the original three games into one solid game. Then depending on player response I would like to expand on it from there!
I am very attached to this game. I’ve recommended it to many a friend, I’m so glad there will be new content and I’m hoping that it blows up because it truly deserves it. I really hope that this only adds to the original game and doesn’t change anything too much since alice is dead defined a good portion of my childhood.

I'm not too worried about the game blowing up or not but I would really like everyone who played the original to be able to play the new one or to see it played, because I'm really trying to preserve and add on to our original creation. So I'm not trying to do anything crazy I just want to make it exactly like it was but painted with my new tools and skills that I've learned and also be more accessible on new platforms. I remember Markiplier playing this game in the golden age of Flash Games. Hopefully if he has time, he could re-visit this game, and give it the popularity it deserved all those years ago.

Me and a friend are planning to release a game of our own at some point, and we were trying to find someone who can make promotional art. Granted, the game hasn't started production, and its in its early stages in development, so the art isn't needed right away. This is just an offer if you're interested. You don't have to give an answer right away. The game, is going to be a first person free roam, that involves robots, but its more unique and its more original.
This looks amazing! Cant wait to be see it finished and support it whenever it's released.
