This was great, it’s nice to have some fun music, especially in this time of doom and gloom.

Never thought I would hear this song again. I used to have this on a 78. My mother gave all my 78s away to a jumble sale when I was a teenager back in the 1960s. Something I never forgave her for.

Hi Graham. Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I still have some commercial 78's and had to buy a record player for them a few years ago particularly as the family song-writing team had recorded demos of their own songs on 78 before cassettes came in. Transferred them safely to digital. Thanks for writing and subscribing. Al

Thanks for posting this, it was my very first step into Hi-Fi separates, in December 1974 at the price of £28 from Comet, who at that time were a Discount Warehouse type store, without a display section, that you bought their items from a Comet Store Newspaper, without actually seeing the item and were heavily influenced by the fact the item (all items) were supposedly way below the"Retail Recommended Price". The rest of my Hi-Fi was a BSR turntable. My mother worked part time on the BSR assembly line in East Kilbride, Scotland and I got a good discount, I think it was either £18 or £28. The speakers were Solavox , (later spelled differently) which I think seemed to be an own brand of Comet, but with a big reduction on the RRP. The Retail Recommended Price, which tended to be an artificially inflated imaginary price, was later banned by the Labour Government in the late 1970's, however it has made a comeback. It all sounded great, but the real star's were the artists providing the music at the time, Bowie, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Moody Blues, ect. Happy Days, but thanks for posting the video and rekindling my memories. .
