Bette was awesome. She could play any type of character (American socialite, English queen, blue collar worker, crazy lady) so convincingly. Moreover, she really did have a great sense of humor and liked to unleash at times by making people laugh. Joan Crawford and Katherine Hepburn were good (Hepburn was the better of the two), but they were too one-dimensional in terms of the characters they played, and their senses of humor were all but lacking.
CZcams included this song of Bette Davis singing "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" in the automatic playlist they made for me, along with Godspell Finale from the French Company Sountrack - Judy Garland "Rockabye Your Baby" - Ginger Roger "Isn't This a Lovely Day" - Ethel Merman & Bing Crosby "You're the Top" - Marion Vernette-Moore "There is a Balm in Gilead" ...in case people want to share in my AI randomness
Bette Davis is perfect example that no dancing or singing skills needed to be a great entertainer :) . Truly charismatic personality and mesmerizing show.
This was an absolute joy! Can she sing? No. Does she care? No. Was she entertaining? Hell yes! 🎉❤🎉 Thanks for posting this rare diamond. 💎 There was nothing this woman couldn't do. I can see why so many commented that they can still hear the song in their heads! It's a catchy little ditty! 🤗 ❤ 🎉
OK I havent read ALL the comments - over 1000 - but going through the first 50 or so, no one seems to know the tune (not the words..) is actually in the movie. First when Mrs. Bates is working in her garden (Anna Lee..) and again at the end in the beach scene. The instrumental is meant to be playing on portable radios in both scenes
Es como si baby Jane cobrara vida
I was wondering if this was done right after the movie was released, and whether it was a part of Bette's campaign to win the Best Actress Oscar?

Yeah this slaps
I love Bette Davis but I hate her singing
She gave zero effs and sold the hell out of this.
Why did they not use this in the movie?
I love her ❣️😻❣️
They don't make them like they used to 🎭🎭🎭🎭
A legend, we will not see again RIP sweet Bette xxx
Besides acting, she has talent to become a singer 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Susan Sarandon nailed it!!!
Cute!
Never heard this before. Fun! Thanks for posting.
Love the dress!!!
I heard tell 😂😂
That's what they mean by "selling a song."
What a wretched song!! 😂😂. She gave it her all! She really tried to sell it. She's probably my favorite all time actress.
Mother?
Painful. This is something the PR department told her to do.
That was more embarrassing than Cher singing O Holy Night: czcams.com/video/rt7-P_bEEko/video.htmlsi=RbperzgJ15qIpv2k
Fascinatingly weird and weirdly fascinating!
You know what? For some reason, this does it for me...😂❤
Whos here after feud
I need to perform this at karaoke!

Andy's rug 🙁
Bette and Erica Jayne look similar in the face
Bette can carry a tune and had other authentic artistic skills. Erika Jayne.....um, well, she aims to do something.....

Favolosa ❤❤❤❤
This was a great era in Hollywood!
This movie was one of Bette Davis's best movies! Delightfully evil!
Fun fact: Walt Disney had originally wanted Bette Davis to play Mary Poppins
She was really busty
Geeeezuz
Respect the hustle lol
always randomly getting stuck in my head 🫰🏾
The diff between her and Joan was that she wasn't afraid to put herself out there.
Crawford was an egoist, Davis was a realist
Bette Davis is perfect example that no dancing or singing skills needed to be a great entertainer :) . Truly charismatic personality and mesmerizing show.
"..it's more like Ch-hubby Ch-hecker" -Bette Davis
❤❤❤❤

No one twirls a skirt like bette
Confidence and big big voice pulled it off

You can see her really get into it halfway through.
