New WMATA 8000's Series Train and Cherry Blossoms Special
Re-upload with audio fix.
Bit of a rushed video but I got to check out the new 8000's series trains at the Fleet of the Future Expo yesterday and wanted to post my experience. I also went hunting for the special edition cherry blossom cards and the cherry blossom train.

Riding Amtrak "Business Class" For a Coach Price
zhlédnutí 369Před 4 měsíci
This week I rode long distance coach and I compared it to the Northeast Regional Coach and Business class. In my opinion, it's possibly one of the best cost-for-value experiences you can get on Amtrak. When traveling between NYC and DC look out for the following trains: - Palmetto - Cardinal (Only operates 3 days a week) - Pennsylvanian (Between NYC and Philadelphia only, also facing backwards)...

Flying on One of JetBlue's Original A320’s
zhlédnutí 202Před 4 měsíci
As JetBlue's A320 classic planes are being phased out I wanted to fly on one while I still have the chance. The A320 is JetBlue's first-ever plane and has served the North East for over 2 decades. Today many of these planes are refurbished to have newer seats and less legroom, but there are still a couple of the original planes left. Check me out on other platforms! Twitter/X: intes...

The Q37 being extended to JFK is a terrible idea. That bus is going to be extremely crowded. I already gave feedback concerning that bus since it's the bus I take. Many South Ozone Park residents are going to be livid since stops in South Ozone Park are eliminated in the final draft. It should be left the way it is now.
I think it's lazy
I rather the express
Nicely done!
Did you end up buying the playing cards, that is what I would buy for myself.
nnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooo the R46😢😢😢😢
Fun fact: British people don't say "temporary walls", they say "hoardings", so when Geoff Marshall visits you you'll know.
This is a great in depth video seriously you should make more of these about NYC Transit or the LIRR
I love the open gang way design, but wouldve been nice to extend it longer than just two cars. Quick question though, what is the purpose of heated floor tiles? I can't even fathom what issue thatd solve
From what I was told, it helps heat the cars, faster and retain the heat during the cold months.
$7! For the bus
What is the difference between a rush route and a limited route
Based on their proposal, limited routes stay limited their entire route, and are focused on connecting neighborhoods. While rush routes make local stops in a pick up area and then make limited stops to the nearest subway station.
@@intesaralam they are very similar
So failure?
In trains you should hold the smartphone right next to the window. The speeding app needs 3 satellite signals to calculate the actual speed.
Gotcha I'll try that the next time I visit!
Okay, here are the issues I have with this video are these. It appears you're doing mostly voice-over, which is courteous. But there's also LOTS of real-time narration, and I don't think that is polite. I can imagine, given that you said it's a peaceful environment on Brightline, that your narration is super-annoying to other first class passengers. The seats are reserved so it's not like people can move away from you. It's kind of superfluous and it does not add any value to your video. E.g. , train stopped. That's what trains do! That does not characterize a train voyage as "chaotic and it definitely does not need your ongoing verbal description.. Worse, you're filming LOTS of passengers without their permission. If that was me, I'd be furious. You can tell at least a few are annoyed. It's not a terrible video, and there's some good information here, but it's not like there haven't been dozens of others on CZcams pretty much just like this. I think amateur videographers and content makers need to be a LOT more aware of the rights of others and try to be as unobtrusive as possible. This video just seems so invasive.
This is how I intentionally and low key let dudes know I'm on Grindr. And I'm hot. Not a creep.
barely...🥴
Don't be nosy
Just found you, a Very great piece of work. I have been following this project and still learned new things. You have a new follower.
I missed the part of the video where you fulfill the promise in the title 😂
I think I can hear Miles in that opening day shot!
Quality NYC transit content! Love it!
I will say, ever since the redesign took effect in Suffolk County, I can see that so many routes have been improved with service, the one thing that impressed me the most is that Suffolk County Transit has timed point at their major hubs where almost all the buses leave at the same exact same time, imo NICE bus should have something similar to that.
oh Noa! The R211S are going to be great but I feel bed That The R68s and R46 Need to go.
I will say one thing, though the MTA really should complete the Second Avenue expansion, I mean they are prioritizing so much project but not completing one project at the rate they're going with all these project I believe all these projects will be complete until the 23rd century which is a hell of a long time
I work for.the MTA I drive the Q11
I saw an train while at the post office this morning!
My subway, the (7) usually sucks and so does the Q65 which is why I had to start taking the QM2 or QM20 buses into the city. Beats the subway.
I recently moved farther away to south eastern Queens neighboring long island and I took the express bus from midtown to the last stop in Queens and it took me about 1 hour to get home. I then compared it to the LIRR and it took me just short of an hour so I'd say the LIRR is the winner from personal experience.
A very good video but you didn't include any. passenger numbers! Normally 1 year is about enough time to allow people to transition to a new transit option so it would be interesting to see if numbers after 1 year are at or near expected usage. Also, has this new terminal increased usage of transit generally? Has Penn station seen a decrease in passengers?
It also depends on environmental factors weather, traffic , holidays school closed schedules
Yes this is by no means a scientific experiment, just something I did for fun.
Even if the Express Bus won, it would've only been about a 10 minute difference. I would say that's not worth paying $7.00 over the $2.90 fare for the Subway. Better to leave earlier to get to your destination and save yourself $4.10. 😊
To each their own, it really comes down to what you value in your commute.
It seems like the fastest way would be to take the E train to Manhattan, change to the A train at the earliest opportunity, and let the A train book it to Chambers St.
There are even faster routes I could've taken granted I wasn't intentionally being picky, I could've taken the first F gotten lucky with an R train at Queens plaza and transferred at Lexington Ave for a downtown 4/5 if I really wanted to get there fast. However I want to make the premise of this to be simple and easy for people to understand so sometimes simple is better, regardless it wouldn't have changed the outcome.
Yeah the price of Amtrak has on some routes are definitely made to deter people. For example when I was looking for a train from NY Penn to Philadelphia 30th Street, the long distance train was $118 while the Keystone leaving a half hour later was $35. I guess you can figure out what I chose.
Yeah ithis usually makes more sense last minute when everything is expensive, or if you're lucky and traveling early/late enough for the Palmetto and can get a night owl fare.
I’m team express bus. Much. Ore comfortable and no junkies, homeless or people begging for money.
Is my content the reason why my messages are getting blocked by YT?
I love the M60 across 125
You should do A train vs 3 train: Harlem-125 St to Fulton St. Who do you think wins? I'd say 3 for sure.
Or the 2 train
I'm impressed with how well the bus held its own. If the city invested in more bus lanes, the express busses could be great.
You could have came out a different exit instead of coming through that new building and you would have got to that same Point faster
With the express bus even if it's rush hour we still get a seat can sit down and relax and get right off at that point and don't have to walk any stairs
Anyone remember when the fare was 2.25?
If you live next to a subway it’s most likely going to be the subway since you have to wait 20 minutes for an express bus at times. The express also doesn’t stop by many subway stops once it leaves the boroughs so you might have to walk home compared to being next to the subway. I live next to the Q but the express bus stop is a 7-10 minute walk away from me
It's definitely tricky to make an accurate determination because everyone lives in different places, but my goal is to have races where the travel time is expected to be similar. Because when you look into most people commute it's pretty obvious which most of transit is the fastest. So for me, I'm specifically interested in cases where the travel times between each mode may be uncertain and can go either way.
I founded the QM5 from Fresh Meadows would run faster in the morning when going into midtown but the F train was always the better option in the afternoon rush due to the insane traffic going back out to Queens. I live in Flushing now and the 7 is still a better option than the QM2
New to the channel and love it. Keep up the good work
For many its safety vs convenience Many just rather avoid the subway now even if it costs way more per day and takes longer.
What about the subway is unsafe?
Could you do a similar one from Inwood 207 street to central Manhattan as there is both subway and express buses. I wonder which is quicker and also more comfortable?
Was this 2 different days cause the QM11 bus you first got on number was 1328 and one was 1344..and if it’s mot to much can you do the Qm17 and the A train from far rock cause those are both my lines and I usually do the express bus but sometimes I do the A as well from rockaway *no need to answer my question I saw the video to the end
So before and after the race I go an film additional "b-roll" footage on different days, this way I have some more footage then me just staring at my watch going "oooh will I make it there first?" Also that way during the race I'm not focused on filming as much so I don't get overwhelmed.
@@intesaralam oh ok I got you bro I been watching so far and love the content keep it up
Now race express bus vs local bus to LIRR
The bus running over the divider is literally why those bike lanes suck lol i was still shocked to see a bus just mow it down!
You should report that bus route to the mta
They should get rid of bike lanes. Bikes belong in the countryside not the city.
@@Crazy-Clown-In-Townyep, definitely a crazy clown
@@Crazy-Clown-In-Town Bruh. Go see anything outside of America, bikes are everywhere in European cities and bikers here aren't in danger just because they want to have the freedom to use a harmless bike
@@Moloxer I don’t care about European cities. Bikers in the U.S. are typically a-holes riding on sidewalks and going the opposite lane while speeding and no respect to pedestrians.
Trains are always if there is no heavy traffic on highways the buses would be fine too
Nice video! Potential race idea that would allow you to include commuter rail: Citi Field to Yankee Stadium. LIRR to Metro North vs. 7 to the 4 vs. 7 to the D.
I definitely want to do that during the subway series!
