    This video describes my life completely. I have a planner using color coding to remember everything. When I am in a lecture, I use different color pens to remember the notes. Even my Bible, I color code when someone is speaking, the title of their lesson and some point I want to remember. I like to write everything I hear. This has caused me to be a secretary in the church and on my job. I love to use black to outline the important things, yellow, red to outline, orange, green and blue. This is very informative. Thank you.

    • @modernpetparents7004
      @modernpetparents7004 Před 2 lety

      Hi Arther, I highly recommend signing up for Vetgirl free student membership. They offer thousands of lecture-style webinars on many disciplines within veterinary medicine. During veterinary school, I watched more lectures on Vetgirl than my own lectures from vet school. Their speakers are excellent and I highly recommend them. It's also definitely worth paying for after graduation, it doesn't really get any better than Vetgirl in terms of online CPD. [Not sponsored, I just love this website]. Thanks for watching and good luck :)

    hi, may I know do you recommend me as a visual learner to listen to music while studying? should I use coloured pens? could you give and example of using it? and lastly do you think three months is possible to study for an exam?

    • @modernpetparents7004
      @modernpetparents7004 Před 2 lety

      Hi Hayy, It really depends on you! I like listening to music but I find that only instrumental music (without lyrics) works for me while studying. Otherwise I get too distracted trying to sing along instead of actively learning. If i find music too distracting, I play nature sounds or fireplace sounds on youtube and it helps. I personally find coloured pens help but as mentioned in the video too many colours can be distracting and confusing so stick to only a few. And yes 3 months is definitely a good amount of time to study for an exam, make a to do list or study schedule for yourself and stick to it. Thanks for watching and good luck :)

    I watch all those students making nice notes, my notes are all in one color blue with the title in black or red to know when I started a new lesson. If I wanted to make something stand out I just underline or circle it, I guess I don't have time to make pretty notes 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @modernpetparents7004
      @modernpetparents7004 Před 2 lety

      Hi Mariam, That sounds like it works for you perfectly. Pretty notes does not equal good grades. If you have found a learning style that works for you stick to it, no need to change. Thanks for watching :)

      Hi Arifah, I fall into that sometimes as well, it's a difficult habit to break so I put a time constraint on myself to prevent this. For example I put a 30 minute timer for revising a 1 hour lecture. It prevents me from making it too pretty and wasting time. Thanks for watching and good luck :)
