Long answer - It depends, using Between The Eyes (BtE) at low CP only when the stealth window is about to expire. (~1 second) is ideal. Blade flurry (BF) is situational as well, the intital hit can reach target further than Outlaw's melee range (even with 3 yards increase) and if you have 5 CPs, you can use BF for extra CP (6 CPs in total) to finish. I sometimes catch myself making silly mistake like using stealth/shadow dance when my BtE is on CD which isn't the best but it serves another purpose. That is to sustain the adrenaline rush (AR) buff for as long as I can. So in other words, it's very punishing & heavy RNG class. Short answer - extremely challenging class for starters or people who don't know much about rogues

@@OfficialFrostyNightz i'm 2970, last season 3100, and i'm not sure if it is the dung's making it harder to keep up AR, or if i'm playing fine, just getting smacked around by ret pally's. like vault is supposed to be an easy key, but for me it's hard because of all the stupid bs that takes you out of stealth jumping from platform to platform, or run outs on bosses. neth and offensive are supposed to be hard, but they're my favorite because AR can stay up pretty well. I rarely top dps single target, and if I do it's first boss on ruby, or first on AA. Bunch of ads to generate combo on. But second boss on ruby, depending on tank, and baiting ad, I just spend the fight energy drained, and do like 250k on that fight or something.

Ideally, you wanna practice HO build until you fully grasped the concept of RtB buffs. Then you can start practicing KiR if you like the challenge or you like more risk, more reward type build. To answer your question about KS - personally, I find that ability to be somewhat odd in PvE. Sure it provides damage taken reduction and drops threats but you already have other abilities to do just that. Damage-wise, I'd take my chances with "Ace up the sleeves" over KS. You get Summarily Dispatched buff from using crackshots. More damage stacks, less energy-usage.

In Keep it Rolling talent build, you don't press ambush at all. We simply have higher uptime on RtB buffs and can use Summarily Dispatched talents to make up for more damage than ambush. Using ambush on KiR, (according to rogue community discord) is ~10% DPS loss due of high energy cost & doesn't proc pistol shots. So in other words, you benefit more using sinister strike over ambush in any situations in KiR build.

For KiR build, we strictly only use sinster strike

To answer your question: Decent rogue is just like any other DPS class players, who'd just simply focus on DPS rotation more than anything else. To upgrade yourself from decent to good/better rogue players, you'd need to use all the utlities properly when situation demands it. Blind/kidney/cheap shots/kicks without overlapping anyone else' ulitities. Use defensives often (feint is always good button to press in AoE mechanics) To give you tips, there are plenty but I don't know what's the right one for you since there are many factors to consider.

A tip I'd give is always maintain/use blade flurry in AoE situations, even 2-3 targets. To get max combo points.

I don't know which tips are right for you but, Learn which roll the buffs are ideal for certain situations. I'd suggest playing Hidden Opportunity build and try focus on maintaining/using blade flurry as often in AoE situations. Hope it helps !

The general idea for st outlaw is that you want the best RtB buffs arr broadside & and/or true bearing. Before the boss fights, you want to roll (without using AR cd) if possible. Then, during the boss fight, you'd use AR cd and roll again. This way, you'd get 3 buffs at least Hope it helps !

In ST u need to make way less mistakes then in aeo because u dont have blade flurry as a combo point builder so u are stuck using the less efficeint options

If you watched my subtlety rogue 10.1 patch, a lot of things have changed since then, tier set, talents etc etc. As of right now for this current patch - it's mastery > vers > crit > haste I haven't made a new 10.2 patch video simply because I don't have enough time :( hope that helps !

the "fun factor" is equal on both builds, the only major factor is the higher chance to get 5 buffs from RtB in KiR than HO build Once you press KiR ability, the current set of RtB buffs doesn't get "removed" when you press RtB again. some or all RtB buffs may get refreshed and that'd be unlucky. But the chances of getting 5 or 6 RtB buffs is higher However, the risk is greater than HO due of how much it depends on restless blade talent. Wiping / dying means longer extended downtime to do any significant damage Again, both builds are equally fun.

KiR build, we never use ambush. use sinister strike 24/7. It'll help with count the odds talent (and in a sense, it'll help with energy-wise). Using echo reprimand ASAP can help with energy-starvation Hope it helps !

Besides what Lonely wrote, a major difference is HO doesn't use FtH Pistol Shot procs (with one case exception) in stealth windows. KiR does. If you play stealth windows like HO you will indeed energy starve.

For 1st question Outlaw is heavy RNG dependant on certain talents. In comparison to other specs, assassination is very minimal RNG but doesn't affect DPS as much. Sub doesn't depend on RNG at all. Burst AoE spec but it doesn't maintain its overall DPS as well as outlaw. For your second question I don't have an answer or exact number for it. My apologizes. Hope it helps! Happy New Year :)
