4K ULTRA CLEAR Nano Aquarium - No Filter, Pond Style. (Desk Tank)
Project Ember Stone.
Watch how I created a natural underwater world, replicating the ponds of the wild. A project without a filter system, utilizing purely on plants to keep the water clean and healthy for tiny inhabitants. Placed in direct sunlight, challenging the notion that you shouldn't have an aquarium close to windows. Low maintenance, highest water clarity with luscious healthy plants.
After 2 months, I wanted to enjoy this piece on my desk space. An area I spend a lot of time editing, allowing me to be closer with this design.
More details on my website, artwork also available for purchase.

Hi are those the 12mm pipes from litiaquaria?
@@birb1174 yes
@@buiscape thanks! planning to get them for my shallow tank litiaquaria seems like the only one making SS pipes for shallow tanks
My tank is 70x30x18 cm do you think the pipes would fit?
too small, need at least 10 gallons
Amazing work putting this all together 🔥
My UG keeps melting...i guess it's just too hot in thailand to plant UG...
Hi there, I'm new to this. For the HC Cuba, I'm seeing recommendations for CO2 to thrive, but yours is doing great? Ty 👍
@@wanik4 no need for CO2 above water
@@buiscape ok cool. I'm trying to make work what I have on hand. It's a front opening 40G with about 6 inches of water space. I have black fluorite sand and small mm black lava rock, going to see how that works. I also have some cool cork tubes I've positioned vertically in a way that crabs should still be unable to get out. The cork sticks up out of the tank. So like cork skyscrapers. Hopefully going to source some nice dark slate pieces to incorporate. I'll have a pump in this one, but just for running water up and trickling over each tallest cork tube. I also have a plan to create a device to keep the crabs off the wire, which I thinkll work. Wish me luck, I enjoy your vids, keep going. Any other advice with any bacteria to establish the tank early on? Add snails and cleaner crew before surface plants?
How are your red root floaters sooo red? Amazing video man, you have a lot of patience making it. Thank you for making such a relaxing and well made video
Strong light, thank you for watching!
I want to start building stuff like this and can't believe I haven't found your videos sooner you're awesome man
Do it! Thanks for watching
Does this tank have CO2??
Yes
You recently popped up on my instagram and your videos did not disappoint. This video made me buy a 3t, I want to replicate this lol. Anyways good stuff man I’m excited for what’s next.
Do it! I’m glad you’re enjoying the content
Very nice! How offen do you change the Water?
Once a month now
Stunning, you are genius to bring out the beauty of underwater world in a small space.. ❤
You’re the best !
After watching this video I've been inspired to redo my crab tank
I’m glad to hear that :)
What plant
HC Cuba
@@buiscape thanks
What size aquarium is that?
7 gallon
This build is amazing. Good job. Hope to accomplish something similar.
Stunning... No words to explain how beautiful ❤ seriously amazing work
Thank you!
Arent these guys notoriously aggressive
We will find out in the next video!
Yup, he can say goodbye to all those shrimp
Yes murder bullets 😅
You'll definitely be a big hit as a film enthusiast the way you deliver the content is fabulous ❤
Thank you so much 🫶🏻
hello, you inspired me to build my first paludarium using vampire crabs and i love your hardscape, do you happen to have like a sketch or a picture of the hardscape before adding the HC cuba? or can you tell me what the bottom of the hardscape is made of, is it just stone stuck together or did you stick stones to a false bottom? i have an idea to do something similar using star moss.
Hi! Thank you for watching my video. On my Patreon I actually just recently uploaded the blue print for this build. A visual guide to see the hardscape before and after. I balanced the stone for this design, no glue was used. Here is the link for my post: www.patreon.com/posts/crab-tank-blue-104940428?Link&
How many week it should foil it up?
2-3 months
@@buiscape how to prevent moLding? 🫣
@@aesticsdesign mould spreads so you need to take care of it right away when you see it. Hydrogen peroxide works mixed with water.
I seriously don't understand why you are not popular yet, your videos are truly inspiring
Haha thank you
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
If there is an Oscar for aquascaping. I bet you're gonna win all segments.
Haha, thank you 🙏🏻
What's the maintenance like? Do you dose with any plant nutrients?
A drop or two of excel, maintenance is very low. Takes less than 5 mins to change 20-30% of the water. Not much algae to scrape off the glass but when there is, it occurs every 3-4 weeks.
Add Ember Tetra and Neon Green Rasbora
Just got neon green Rasboras!
awesome scape , I think I miss the red root plant name , is it Phyllanthus Fluitans? thanks
Yes that’s correct
Do you use distilled water?
Tap water
Wonderful build. I don't understand why you're calling it pond style though.
Pond style is derived from a true natural setting in a pond habitat where the body of water is still. This aquascape takes inspiration from that idea, creating an ecosystem that is overall self sustaining without CO2 or filtration.
😐
Tank size please
3 gallons
i have come to a point where i just recognise your videos on sight XD LOVE EM <33333
You’re so sweet, thank you 🫶🏻
could you comment what stone, soil and plants you used?
Seiryu stone, tropica soil and plants are in the video
Sagittaria subulata, Hottonia palustris, Bacopa caroliniana & Phyllanthus fluitans
No CO2 needed for these plants ?
No co2
lol this wouldn’t work for me without co2 idk how he does it
This may sound dumb but there’s something about that natural light that hits different
I agree totally. It’s the reason why I enjoy having my tanks next to windows!
Dude this is gorgeous wow
Thank you so much!!

Occasionally I dose excel, a little drop not too much.

Is this uns 3N or 5N?

The visuals are always top notch 🤯🔥
Thank you man! Always appreciate the support 🙏🏻
0 humidity and not enough land to burrow
Lots of burrowing going on and crabs are still fine after a year :)
do your crabs breed in this setup?
I’ve seen mating happen but no successful babies
Could you add some links in the description?
What kind of links are you seeking?
I love this educational video!! I’m researching how to do this and a lot of questions were answered. Thank you
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
