I love this model train! Sort of resembles Walt Disney's Carolwood Pacific train set.
Thanks, I appreciate your comments
That was super cool Jim, beautiful layout and train! (Dave).
Thanks Dave for your kind comments
Thanks Dave,future project…paint..decals..sound decoder
A very nice running brass C&S 2-6-0 Jim! (Dave).
Looks really cool. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.(Steve)
Thanks, My next video will have #454 pulling the train around to drive some pilling in the ground so watch for that👍🚂
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte super! You are welcome
Super. 💙 T.E.N.
Your 278b is sharp. Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching William I appreciate it
Interesting video. Show us more of the mine. Thanks.
Thanks William for watching…how’s the Gunnison roundhouse coming? I plan to do a video on my On30 mine railroad in the future
Awesome, looking forward to seeing more. The Roundhouse is coming along.
What company made the locomotive?
This is a sunset models brass locomotive that I painted and put Soundtraxx tsunami 2 in it
Very cool video and we are enjoying watching it. Have a wonderful rest of your Thanksgiving and upcoming Friday.(Steve)
Thanks so much
Your very welcome.@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte
Awesome! Great video.
Thanks for watching William..did you enjoy the #499 gotta love the Narrow Gauge👍🚂
Awesome video and enjoyed watching. Have a fantastic upcoming wekend.(Steve)
Thanks Steve for taking the time to watch my channel….GO Narrow Gauge👍🚂
Jim nice layout. Beautifully done. love your videos.
Thanks for watching and your kind comments
I have never seen O narrow gauge. Did some N narrow gauge when Kadee Microtrains started making them in the 1980’s😊
When your eyes start to go bad you have to go to the larger scales. I’ve been modeling in On3 for over 40 years and enjoying it, Model Railroading is meant to be FUN. Thanks for watching
I remember reading an article in Model Railroader. Looking back with John Allen? I think ? About a layout called Gorre & Daphetid. That started my interest 😊
Yes John influenced me as well…what a talented Modeler
😊 interesting to find this channel after such a sad post😮
I'm wondering, do some people still make or sell On3 stuff cuz I'm planning out a large layout
There hasn’t been any NEW models produced for over 20 years…but check out ebay there’s always the possibility of finding what you are looking for.🤞👍🚂
Really nice Jim!
Thank You for watching, I hope you enjoyed
Love the engine house and your scenery! Well done.
Thank You for your good words
That was cool, smooth runners, sounded great Jim! (Dave).
Thanks Dave..it was fun taking a bare brass engine and turning it into a beautiful locomotive
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte you're welcome
Can you like buy unpainted On3 stuff then custom paint them?
Yes you can, I painted and put sound in them, these modes are over 50 years old…sure is fun doing Model Railroading 👍🚂😀
I have plans for an O scale and On3 layout (2 scales cuz both are 1:48)
Thanks for watching, I two love the Narrow Gauge I’ve been modeling in On3 for decades, be carful it gets in your blood
Don't worry, I use gloves
That was awesome Jim, sounds, looks and runs Great! (Dave).
Thanks again Dave for watching, is there something you would like to see?
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte got any Mudhens to run for us? I am a RGS fan! (Dave).
Look through my videos,I think I did a couple with #454
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte Thanks will do! (Dave).
Very sweet, love it! (Dave).
Thanks Dave for watching👍
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte Your very welcome.
I love the train with model engine #499!
Thanks for watching… hope it was enjoyable 😄
I love the model Galloping Goose!
Thanks it was fun doing
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
i got a chance to see these at the Colorado RR Museum. model or real these things are so cool looking. thing that fascinated me the most is that they are chain driven.
Thanks for watching..Yes the Geese are an interesting piece of machinery all built by the Rigeway shops. Kept the RGS going for the last few years😀
Took me by suprise when it started !!! Love the sound of that old motor Idling !!!!!!!!!! Way perfect !!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Mister !~!!
Thanks for watching, it was fun making this video
Sweet video, the layout looks Great! The bigger scale models always tend to sound nice! (Dave).
Thanks for watching another video from my channel…I’m glad you enjoyed it
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte Your very welcome.
While I don't doubt they did that with 50, I am curious if there are any pictures documenting.
This was totally done in fun. #50 never made it to Crested Butte..It went from Durango to the Roaring Camp and Big Trees in CA
show . like 30 👏👏
Thanks for watching my channel, I hope you enjoy it
Mentioned on another video, beautiful modeling! Could you introduce the different engines / importer or builder of the model / if they are brass etc.?
My three C-16’s are Sunset Brass Models and my two C-19 are MMI. My C-21 is an old Balboa models My 4 K class engines are also MMI. I only use Soundtraxx Tsunami 2 decoders in all of my locomotives. I hope that answers your questions, thanks again watching
I'm a fan! If you use a tripod for the camera work, would definitely take things to the next level. But the context is.. "chef's kiss", On3 Narrow Gage really hits the spot!
Yes I would agree with you….my wife runs the trains and I take the movies..there’s always room for improvements..thanks for your kind comments
Beautiful....................... The Only thing lacking...................... (and I was waiting to hear it) Was the sound of the couplers, crashing together !!!!!!
I’ll have to remember to use F13 on my next video….thanks for watching and your comments
Cool video and enjoyed watching. Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday.(Steve)
Thanks again for watching my channel and your nice comments
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte Your very welcome.
Dang fine video! Looks and sounds great!
Thanks William, I’m waiting for a video of your Gunnison roundhouse. I built one years ago in Hon3
That loco looks and sounds amazing.
Thanks for the comment I hope you enjoyed my video👍🚂
You might want to change the chuff rate as it seems to have 7-8 chuffs per wheel turn while it should have 4, just something to note so it doesn’t songs like it’s going at Mach 10 while going 20 mph.
Thanks for the advice on the chuff rate…I’ll look into it.an easy fix in the CV’s
Very nice RR. Love the trestle and bridge in the opening shot and the line of coal filled high-side gons the train passes. It is also nice the see the DRGW #50, which usually dwarfs the narrow gauge rolling stock, itself dwarfed by the K-37, the largest of the NG steamers. I'm tempted to recreate this train on my 2 1/2" scale RR, but have only a C-16 to pull the train, which #50 really does dwarf!
Glad you enjoyed my video, actually the #50 would fit inside the #499’s tender…Ha. Ha
Absolutely Perfect !!!!!!!!!! Cute lil "Vest pocket diesel" !!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching
Rio Grande #50 now resides at the museum in Golden Colorado.
Operating a wide variety of locomotives from C-16's to K-37's what is your minimum radius? Oh, and another great video!
Thanks Bill for watching…my Radius varies from 50”” down to a tight 40” the MMI loco’s are great because of the side lateral movement of the axles, and the C-class have blind drivers. My layout is small but I sure have fun with…and that’s what it’s all about having fun🚂
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte My railroad is On30 with 26" radius curves. I have two MMI C-19's that run pretty good on those curves. My railroad is small also but also a lot of fun.
Love this and a K-37!!! ❤
Thanks William…how are you coming on that Gunnison Roudhouse?
@@on3drgwnarrowgaugecrestedbutte Comong along nicely! Thanks for asking.
Lovely mining set! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Awesome model set!
Thanks Daniel
That was awesome, great sounding and looking equipment! (Dave).
Thanks Dave for your kind and encouraging words….Man I love Model Railroading
I love model engine #489 and the stock train.
Thanks Daniel for your kind words..I hope you enjoyed the video🚂
You need some paying passengers in those coaches. I am sure management wants to beef up the revenue.
Yep I need to get people to put in my cars…great Idea thanks Bill
I rode behind 489 the first time I rode Cumbres and Toltec.
K-36’s are beautiful steam locomotives 🚂 thanks for your comments
It's crazy that this is the same scale as my little On30 bachmann shay... I think my entire shay would fit in one of those box cars... The size increase of the equipment from On30 to On3 is crazy
Thanks for your comments Sean…isn’t model railroading fun…I sure enjoy modeling
Awesome!! Love the videos.
Thanks William….isn’t it about time for you to do another video?
Thanks Steve for watching, glad you enjoyed it
