So much better in a cabinet!

I found one in Osaka in a mall that has 40+ pinballs. I'm trying to find the name of it. Once I find it, I'll let you know. It's on my list of stops when I visit Japan later this year.

That stuff can get pretty expensive now, too. Gamecube stuff is hard to find these days.

I only know of one, and it's in a private collection. I haven't seen it in the wild in a really long time.

Yeah, while you're in the area I'd check out Can Can Wonderland, and Litt Pinball.

Big platform of candy cabs upstairs. It's new as of a few months. It was added after Combo Breaker, so around April it was added.

@DD01880 They have all of that and an awesome layout so everyone is spread out in the arcade. I love the Candy Cab island, tons of space for fighting games.

@dj10bear I only visited this one time. I can't even imagine how much work it is to manage these pins and over 1000 cabinets. I'm sure it takes a ton of time to fix everything.

They take great care of them. If there is an issue, they fix it right away or pull a new game out if it needs major repairs.

@mopbrothers The arcades in MOA aren't doing well, they have been closing or getting bought out over the last 5 years.

Yeah, it's one of the biggest in the state for classic arcade games. It's my favorite.

The only ones I see are them. They own the pizza spot, too. I know there are still a few small shops in there, but I don't remember what's open. They all have weird hours.

@andybungert yeah I've only seen the boards in new cabinets for Ninja Baseball Batman, I did play one at Galloping Ghosts. Warlords is super fun. We just finished making a 4-player Food Fight with them, too.

Where do you live? There might be a good arcade near you.

@@IndieArcadeWave I'm not sure why that turns into the removal of a game from Steam. I have a GROWING local group of folks who LOVE playing this game. Having it on Steam and being able to play and form games online would... CERTAINLY HELP THE COMMUNITY lol. Am I missing a key piece of drama that explains what happened to the digital versions of Killer Queen? I'm FIENDING OVER HERE!

@@thevideogamerconsortium6180 The servers cost money. I don't know the whole story. I think it was a decision between Liquid Bit and BumbleBear to discontinue the servers. You can dig more into that if you want. I don't have all the info.

Yeah, that's a good spot to be. Yeah, the 6-player X-men is hidden, super nice.

I did a tour for Can Can too. I love both places, Can Can has much older games. Starcade has a great selection and is pay to get in just like Can Can.

They have a bunch, I loaded all of those onto a semi after Combo Breaker. Go check em out.

Those are a lot harder to find. You don't see a ton of Taito stuff or Atari stuff. When you do come across it, it's sprinkled into the arcades.

Shame. Taito had the best arcade games. At least the fantasy games were a lot better than most.

@@Aloysius10 I agree they had some great games. I don't know if they just didn't sell as well or what, I just don't see nearly as many of them as other stuff in arcades.

Maimai Is really fun, I was with the owner when they bought it. Great addition to the arcade.

@jmssun that could work, I wonder how you would fix the TV? You'd have to make the board think it was running 2 screens.

@@IndieArcadeWave If the board has two outputs, just use a AB screen combiner as source for the projector The laser projectors have really good black level relative to other projectors, and saturation and brightness is incredible, I think it will look really good On top of that, if you can get one of those short-throw projectors, you only need to put it around 20-30cm away from the screen to get a 120-150” screen I have such setup in my living room for movie content, it fills up the wall

Home consoles put arcades out of business back in the 90's, they aren't competing anymore. The gaming space is growing year over year, new arcades are opening up constantly all over the country. This arcade has been open since 2015.

I agree, this is a real arcade. I love hanging out at Starcade. I wish I could have seen arcades back in the day, I was born a bit too late for that. I'm glad I get to see this new wave.

How did you get a free Mario hat?

@@IndieArcadeWave last year during the Mario movie. They had a bunch of red Mario hats, which I asked how much and he said, free for anyone who asks about them.

Glad to hear, the games are always changing, you don't know what could get added. I heard of some crazy ones they were considering bringing in. You will have a good time, and it's one price all you can play.

I agree, pretty solid options. That Mai Mai game is really fun.

Did you go to the old location?

Bad Penny had a few pins at a convention as you saw with the gaps in the video. A few of my favorites were missing too.

@charlesshook5834 No beer right now. It'll still be all ages. The issue is when you have hard liquor that people get sloppy.

I loved the Roseville location. The new location is better, in my opinion, because of the multiple spaces. The lower level, the pinball space, the upstairs, and then the candy island. It's a great layout and grouping of games.

@aiw437591 it's a labor of love. The owners have been collecting and restoring for decades.

They are working on beer right now. There was a brewery in the building in the past that had the license for the whole building, so they couldn't get one. The brewery is no longer there, so they are going through the process right now.

@slayskool1964 One of the owners has a chiller in his personal collection. Last time I saw his home arcade, he had that and a Cheyenne. I think I saw a Crossbow at Galloping Ghosts but I could be mistaken. He had so many games.

@soteful9949 Not everything is rare. We pointed out 10 or so games that are rare. Some more than others. That Blaster is something like 1 of 20 known to still be working. I know what you mean when people say it's rare as click bait. A lot of them are rare. If there are only 100 in existence, I'd say that's really rare.

It was fun. I had it on the switch and steam but didn't play it too much. I prefer the cabinet.

They owners don't need to wash money. They need their collection to be played. They are making money here rather than paying to store hundreds of games.

@MANNYSARCADE Go, man! It's so worth the trip. Give yourself a few days, to be honest, I've gone twice now and only had a few hours each time. I didn't even scratch the surface of what I wanted to play.
