Gatemate lock (Perry brand) bumped in seconds...
In this very short and close-up video we use a Perry branded Bump Key to open a gatemate style But Perry brand Lock in literally seconds.
Gate mate and Perry are basically identical locks but of course it is the company who makes them which gives them the brand name but they are mechanically and for all other intensive purposes exactly the same.
This is a perfect demonstration of how fast you can get into one with the right tool, as you have seen with other videos, they are easily pickable too once you have the right skill set and knowledge but they are very very tricky and take lots of time to practice.

    yes, I tried that but unfortunately because it is a nipple shaped piece of metal at the end creating a slight gap on the left and the right with the a 0:01 tention Tool fits. I need something as wide as the key as thin as the tension wrench to be able to push it back straight and even and then engage all the different parts. I'm planning to make one I will keep you posted. in other Locks that is just a round gap with a line gap either side, but this has got metal protruding so that it has to be pushed back before a wide tension. Reg will fit in the gap either side of the circular area. Thanks for the feedback.

      Take an existing key, leaving the tip intact, grind off most of one edge. Now is a tensioner that will push the back...this is done sometimes for rear tensioning locks like the Chubb AVA (you can see LockNoob's video where he demonstrates)

    It does sound like you are putting to much pressure on the blade, just let it bounce on the pins while pulsing the tension tool, EPG is more luck than a skill when you think about it, yes you do have to know what you are doing some some skill is involved. Also, I think you are just trying blades thinking it's a magic wand, practice with one that you feel is working or sounding the best, also maybe try picking ACW some locks will go easier that way. I can pick these, and I am not the best around, but with a bit of practising, it will go. Good luck 👍

    • @2MSecurity
      @2MSecurity Před 6 měsíci

      hi, this is an excellent question whether you are a customer going direct to a supplier or a Locksmith or even me there is absolutely no minimum whatsoever you could buy a single lock for one door from a supplier, Locksmith or me or you could order larger amounts either made to fit one key or individual keys. There really is absolutely no limit. I have and I know I will get criticised by Locksmith but I don't care because I have an enormously wide range of services and products provide 27 Trade accounts, and not a single one of them has ever demanded that I buy a minimum quantity of Locks. That said, if I do buy several or large quantities, I often get offered a discount. If you are going to be a potential customer, then you can buy one lock from me or you can buy multiples and I will always offer competitive prices and larger discounts for larger purchases, but to reiterate, my point, there is no minimum, and if anybody tells you otherwise they are trying to rip you off plain and simple undisputed fact. Thank you for this excellent question and your supportive and positive comment

It's very clever idea and in fact yesterday which was Saturday when I was helping Fit for Locks into four new doors where there were not Locks before we had to get the key out of one of the door frames and it was jammed solid and the Carpenter did exactly what you said although he used a file and then I saw to cut a groove, turning it from a Phillips to a flathead screwdriver type and we got it out so an excellent tip thank you. I have seen it done before and your demonstration shows I should adopt this method.

    For locksmiths the Era Fortress is a very easy lock to pick. In fact i usually just overlift the levers and this is very effective. The tolerences in the levers are terrible. For a budget lock they are good and offer a decent level of security. The reason that these can be tricky is the levers are made of a terrible cast material that gives a very bad feedback through the lever pick. Nice content 👌
