Hello, and welcome! In this channel you can follow the construction of nice-to-have things. From idea to finished product. Home-made by me in my garage.
In other words, the purpose of my projects is to build things that I need or just want to have. I enjoy making videos and try to make them useful. Hopefully I can inspire someone along the way.

Grader attachment | Episode 3
Previous episode: czcams.com/video/k_es19G_Zg8/video.html
I'm really pleased with my mini grader attachment. And that my little home built machine can handle it. Granted, the ground was wet and soft when I tested it, but still.
This was the third and final part of this build. Thanks for watching and feel free to check out my other videos. In the meantime, I'll think about what my next project will be.
Bye for now! :)

Welcome to a miniseries where I'm building a small grader attachment for my homemade mini wheel loader. It will be interesting to see if my construction works and if my little wheel loader has the weight and power required to grade our small gravel road or if it'll just scratch the surface.

If you're new to this channel, I can tell you that I mainly build things that I need. However, there may also be unnecessary things depending on what I feel like doing. In this video, I am constructing a surround for my fireplace insert. Using bricks for a fireplace insert might seem like too much, but the bricks keep the heat well, and I also had bricks that I wanted to use. I applied gypsum p...

Superb build. One safery warning, no tig welding without gloves. The amount of UV given off is far more than the sun, skin cancer calling.
Superbra du är grymt duktig
Works perfectly, i like it. Well done sir! 👌
I like the mirrors. Small thing to notice i know but its often the little things that can make the difference
Please note you want a crown to your driveway so that water runs off to the sides because if it's flat the water will pool causing potholes to form
Yes, absolutely. But initially, I wanted to achieve a fairly level surface and learn the technique. Also, our road has a slope upward (or a wall) on one side in some places and a slope downward a bit further away. So, the road would need to tilt in different directions at different places. It could be an interesting challenge. But I will try. Good comment!
@@AlfaSeven I used to make gravel rock quarry roads using excavators and front end loaders with no side tilt function graders make this task much easier... The trick to crowning a road without adding more gravel is to first angle the blade to the middle with the blade dragging material from the outer edges to the middle to make a center hill then angle the blade so it pushes the material outward put the blade at desired final grade for the middle pushing the material outward to each side, may take several passes but the road should have a arched shape when done, then make a final edge feathering pass to each side to allow water to be able to completely run off the edge on each side removing any edge of road humps from when you gathered the material to start... The notched blade is also referred to as a mixing blade because it reblends the larger rock pieces with the fines to create a more durable surface... The flat edge works alot better for dirt prep work tasks specially if there is plant matter in the dirt
@@dodgeme1986truck Very good info. Thanks!!👍

Another insightful installment in this series! Your step-by-step breakdown of the grader assembly process is incredibly helpful for anyone looking to understand the intricacies of building this equipment. Looking forward to the next installment. Keep up the great work!
Gday, a very successful build that works well mate…
Thanks Matty 🙂
whats he software your r using to design
Hi, Rhino 3d
Hey man, great series on the L7 build. Is there any chance you could share your CAD files? I‘m trying to build my own mini wheelloader but wanted to get some inspiration from your perfect design.
To minimize the risk of various legal issues, I have decided not to share CAD/drawings. At least not now. But great that you like my build. Hopefully, my channel can still serve as a source of inspiration.
Cool!!
The level of detail is astonishing! Superclean build, i particularly like the dial indicator for the blade. You could have gone for a straight piece of metal but instead a nice lasercut arrow with a tiny cilindrical weight incorporated in the design. Awesome 👌 But why no wheels on the backside as well? if the loader hits a pothole it will translate to the blade, diving in the ground or am i wrong here?
Thanks👍👍 The front wheels of the loader are just behind the blade of the grader, and the loader is rigidly interconnected. It works perfectly. Late next Friday, video three with test driving will be released. Stay tuned! 🙂
@@AlfaSeven Just after i commented, i got a video recommended on instagram of a (tracked) skid steer that was using a very similar grader attachment like yours. It does indeed work really nice without extra wheels on the back 😆 Really excited to see the testing video!!
👍🙂

This is going to be a great build. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum last week, and we'll be watching for future installments 😎
AWESOME! 💪👍👌
Hi, Is that an extra weight hanging below the front axle? If so, may I ask why you thought it was necessary?
Hello, I accidentally installed a larger engine than planned 😋, resulting in it being slightly rear-heavy. Not a big problem really, but I'm experimenting with some weights up front, which makes the machine feel better to drive when no attachment is connected.
‘Accidentally’ 😉 lol… thanks for the reply!
