Thank you for this! I've got my eye on a Blackfoot, and had no idea of the various options. I like the idea of the fin-mount because it uses existing mount, but I suspect you'd have to be careful while beaching. If price is no option, the stern-mount with foot steering is probably the best option. Again, thanks!

Any idea what that adapter at 54 seconds is? It looks perfect to slot a bimini rod to so that I can kayak with a canopy on. Or do you manufacture an adapter that could hold a bimini rod like the one found on the Hobie product?

I own a Blackfoot160, and it is my 4th year. I enjoy it as Often as I can, with my wife, but it is easy to use it as a one person kayak. It is strong, extremely stable and fun to use. I selected the Blackfoot serie for his fishing possibilities, and find it, a very good chose. It is the exact size kayak that meet my needs (then and now). Around Quebec city (canada) we have a lot of rivers and lacs to play on.

What is the best motor option for an Aquaglide Deschutes 145?
Is the fishfinder mounted to a Yakattack cell block and if so how? Since the box is wider than the mount.
Does this have paddle holders?
No paddle holders, I just use a leash. The 130 is a large boat for 1 person, there's plenty of room to stick your paddle if you're fishing or something and want hands free.

I’m on the same quest, I have the yak attack switch blade and garmin striker 4 base attached to a light mount switch, it fits but is too short, it pivots side to side without a longer rail like in this video. Will a longer yak attack rail just screw into the universal mount using only 4 screws?? Maybe that’s what they did here.. want to chime in @aquaglide

I'm looking at adding a bixpy to my chelan 140 as a backup to paddling. I'm concerned about how well it would act as a fin for tracking when it's not in use. Has anyone tried this?

Can you use the Proformance seats with this instead of the frame seat?
You certainly can, but the frame seat is built specifically for the Blackfoot and is ideal! That being said, Proformance seat will work.
