    TY. I have that exact Caddy. Can you show how to replace the oil pan gasket. They say I have an oil pan leak. Although I hear there is a TSB for a backside oil leak.

      I have a link to some oil from Mobile here amzn.to/45TGAUc, I also use STP brand oil sometimes. For Euro vehicles I stick to their specifications which certain brand meet like Castrol, Mobile 1, Liquimoly.

    Hi, I have a ‘14 Highlander - do you drain the reservoir before this procedure? Also, do you recommend the aftermarket Toyota coolant? Thank you

      Yes you would want to drain the reservoir as well. I personally prefer to use the Toyota brand coolant, it's also pretty close in price to aftermarket coolants like Zerex, just don't see a reason to use anything else unless you are in a bind or something.

      This took a little more time than usual just due to the filming and getting certain scenes, but on average something like this would take about 30-45 minutes assuming you have all the tools and worked at a steady pace.

    You should bleed it with funnel still on. That is the purpose of that deep funnel to hold extra coolant for purpose of bleeding the system and preventing air back in the system.

      The manufacturer bleeding procedure on this car is what I was showing here, with the cap on. There are probably a few ways to do the bleeding on this vehicle, but I wanted to follow Mazda procedure.

      The FL22 coolant is now a green color. There may have been a cutoff from the blue stuff around 2016, but not 100% sure on that.

    What does it mean if nothing is coming up the tube? It's been 30 minutes at 2500rpm and I haven't seen any fluid come up the tube. If I turn off the car, the fluid backs up into the tube, so I know the bleeder is open.

      Most spark plugs these days have a zinc or nickel plating, so you don't need antiseize. Another reason is you can over tighten the spark plugs with the threads lubed.

      There is an extra step with the rear brake pads since they are used for the electronic parking brake system, to apply the parking brake. Usually have to use a scan tool to set the brakes in maintenance mode to replace the pads, although there are work arounds if you don't have a scan tool. Once I replace the rear brakes on this vehicle I will definitely post a video!

      I don't really see a reason too for this job. I know some people recommend disconnecting the battery for any electrical connection that needs to be disconnected, I personally don't do that unless I'm working on sensitive equipment like computer modules, air bags, ect.

      @CarsYouCanFix Why not take the extra....maybe 30 seconds and disconnect the white negative in the engine fuse box compartment. As you can see, Im no pro. Maybe it's a shortcut cut or maybe i the s correct procedure. But it's like porking a chick after everyone else has slammed her....And you follow their lead and decide not to wear a rubber.....You know the rest of the story.

      This only resets the oil life on the dash, which needs to be done after the oil change.

      You might be able to do that, but it also could be more trouble than it's worth with it in the way.

      It worked. I left the skid plate on. Took off the top plate. Peeled the fender back after I took out the 2 clips by the tire and was able to get the Bolt out. For the front grill, i needed a few clips removed. Took me about 1/2 hour.

      Pump the brakes before turning on the car, I've had some older mercedes throw an abs light but after driving a bit and turning the car on and off a few times, the abs light went out.

      @@vraniskpashku2551 You would have to look up your specific model to find the fuse box, but the one in the engine bay usually will have the suspension fuse.

      @@vraniskpashku2551 OK So I personally haven't done this before, but certain ABS modules you can disconnect the big connector on the module during the brake replacement. And that should prevent the ABS lights. There may be a specific procedure to do this correctly but I've always opted for just turning the ignition on and off a few times to clear it.

      Most assemblies will come with new bulbs already installed, which is what these had. Just double check the description if bulbs are included or not

      When you do this everyday you sort of get a feel for it, and since these plugs don't index like some luxury engines, I just go by feel. But it's always good practice to use a torque wrench. Also this is one of my earlier videos, I do use a torque wrench a lot more on my newer videos, since that's what someone doing DIY should be doing. Great question!
