Hey guys, u know what I do and is kind of a hidden secret is put a layer of water on your skin before applying your moisturizer, so your water is locked in. U can also do this with all moisturizers.

Did you use AHA and BHA like alternate with tretinoin or in the morning when you started tretinoin?

Wow, you used it everyday on the first week and you did not have irritations. My derm told me to use it twice a week only for the first month to introduce it to mu skin. It'a true that every skin is different. Happy for you that you continue it❤

.05 is a high percentage of Tretinoin to start off on so I was very curious to know why your doctor chose to start you so high on it? (this info is really helpful for me starting out.) You mentioned being on it twice before & stopping for reasons, including purging and peeling and I’m assuming some skin irritation? Did your provider mention that one of the reasons you may have had so much dryness is the high percentage of Tret to start? I’ve been using (non rx) retinol for years without issue but my derm started me on .25, and I’m sure he would’ve preferred to go lower, but that was the lowest made at the pharmacy. Agency, one of the companies that can compound it at a lower %age, wanted to start me on an even lower % age (.0015!) with a blend of 3 other products But their whole philosophy is to start so low that you can use it every night without issue, which I can understand, given how many of my friends have started at a higher percentage, and had to stop entirely because their skin got so red and inflamed, or they just gave up. I haven’t started either the .25 script or the Agenxy compounded bottle yet (trying to decide which to try!) but I’m expecting the .25 is going to have me dry and peeling.i hope not though. Would love to hear if the percentage are on now is the original when you were started on. I’m learning so much from different CZcamsrs. Thanks for your time!

@Kristine Wilson I bought this cause normal moisturisers are shiny and oily. So are you saying I cannot use the Hydro Boost water gel as a moisturiser on its own? Are u saying to put a normal moisturiser on after it? Wont this make my face shiny and oily then?

I use mine with a serum works amazing. Make sure your serum is light not overly oily. I do it every night and no dryness

If you’re home and sunlight comes through the windows you gotta wear spf I stay home with the blinds closed and don’t use spf unless I open blinds etc

Why would you use HA before tret? Stay away from that and don’t use the same night as tret.

Oh my word😱😱 this is exactly what is happening to me. Every morning I wake up to find my skin extremely dry/pealing off. One thing I good thing I notice about it is that it is drying out my ance pimples, most probably I need to layer oil on top of it. Thank you so much for your advice. 😊😊😊

Great tips!!! I figured out the moisturizer trick 3 days ago (before I watched this vid or any other really), and my skin already looks soooo much better! I would always get irritation with retin A (0.05) so I stopped using it all together. The moisturizer trick realllllyyyy helped, I can’t stress it enough

OK I’m a little confused isn’t this supposed to be a moisturizer but all I keep reading is you have to put a moisturizer over it to lock in the moisture so forgive me if I’m a little confuse that I spent $25 on this to moisturize my face to only be told I have to put another moisturizer over it am I wrong?

Retin a has been the worse thing I've ever used on my skin. I followed my estheticians advice to a T. However I've been purging for the past two months until I just gave up last week and stopped using it. Wish I could upload before and after pics .... my skin is destroyed! The esthetician said it gets worse before it gets better but damn.
