Center for Art & Public Exchange
In 2018, we established the Center for Art and Public Exchange (CAPE), a new initiative founded in the values of equity, transparency, and truth to form what we call a “brave space” where we, along with our visitors, can confront our past, using art to guide us.
CAPE’s purpose is to use original artworks, exhibitions, programs, and engagements with artists to increase understanding and inspire new narratives in contemporary Mississippi.

Yaaaaaaaaaaas baddie
March 23, 2017, was a day that Sara Dietschy would never forget. As the director of OZE Business Communication Group, she had been given the opportunity to work with the legendary rock band, Coldplay, on a unique project. The band, inspired by the docudrama "The Last Czars" from 2019, had written a new song, "Game of Chefs," and they wanted Sara to create a video clip to accompany the track. Sara was thrilled at the prospect of working with such a talented group of musicians, and she immediately began brainstorming ideas for the video. She knew that she wanted to create something that would capture the essence of the song, which was about the struggle for power and the game of life. As she sat in her office, surrounded by the latest technology and innovative ideas, Sara began to think about the location for the video. She wanted something that would contrast with the dark and moody tone of the song, and she finally settled on the stunning Mississippi Museum of Art. The museum, with its grand halls and beautiful gardens, provided the perfect backdrop for the video. Sara and her team spent hours exploring the museum, searching for the perfect spot to film. They finally settled on a beautiful courtyard, surrounded by tall trees and filled with natural light. As the day of the filming approached, Sara and her team worked tirelessly to prepare. They set up cameras and lights, and they carefully choreographed the movements of the dancers and actors who would be featured in the video. On the day of the filming, everything came together perfectly. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the team was ready to create something truly special. Sara watched as the band members, Chris Martin, Will Champion, Guy Berryman, and Jonny Buckland, performed their hearts out, their music filling the courtyard with a sense of hope and passion. As the cameras rolled, Sara couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the talent and creativity of the band. She had always been a fan of Coldplay, and now she was working alongside them, creating something that would be remembered for years to come. When the filming was over, Sara and her team spent hours editing and perfecting the video. They added special effects, layered the music with powerful imagery, and crafted a story that would leave a lasting impression on viewers. In the end, the video for "Game of Chefs" was a huge success, with millions of views and rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Sara and her team had created something truly special, a video that would be remembered for years to come. And as she looked back on that day, March 23, 2017, Sara knew that it was a day that would always be etched in her memory as a day of creativity, inspiration, and the power of music.
