Thanks for this video! Does this mean that it is not necessary for tourists to buy the physical Navigo Découverte Travel Card if they want to use the Navigo weekly pass for travelling on the Paris metro?
Je serais à Paris en septembre …..je me dois d’y aller….merci❤
Avec plaisir 😊 Bonne visite, alors !
What a beautiful place.
Indeed!🙂
Wonderful museum! If you feel the need for background music maybe you could find something more worthy. What we are subjected to is pretty cheesy.
To each is own 😁
Fantastic. How do these places stay in business? I also noticed very few women wearing high heels, even the well groomed women working at these stores. The days of wearing high heels all day long are quickly disappearing; they are now worn only for special occasions.
When you have to walk, in Paris, high heels can be a nightmare....
Love your videos! I want to make a lunch reservation for Madame Brasserie. Will it include elevator ticket to the top?
No, not to the top, only to the first level, and then you can walk to the second level.
I live in Paris, and yes- this is a great place. In fact, because of this- I shall go there next week hehe!
I swear, I was not paid by them 😂
Your videos have been my best research into Paris. Heading there in 2 weeks. I’ve downloaded your maps, practically seen your videos so many times to etch it on my memory. Thank you for being so thorough.
Great to hear! Thanks for the kind words...
What a beautiful place! Thank you very much ❤
My pleasure 🙏
Steak and chips with a beer....very Australian Alain.
Once a meat lover, always a meat lover! 😁
@@paristoptips This bistro seemed very reasonably priced.
It is... Not too expensive for a Parisian brasserie.
you can tell he works hard on these..
Great clip! Looks like a real gem 💎
I think so too!
Looks delish food in charming surroundings. Good recommendation. On dirait une cuisine délicieuse dans un cadre charmant. Bonne recommandation.
Glad you like it 😀
A definitive MUST visit next time in Paris! Stunning place!
It really is!
Thank you Alain. We have an upcoming trip to Paris and your video helps a lot.
Glad it was helpful! Have fun, when in Paris!
Merci , for a most charming interlude . I appreciate the fact that you never seem hurried , that you appreciate the ambience, and history of the treasures you introduce us to . I to have a fondness for the style of the Bell Epoque . The food looked fabulous ,I would not have baulked at pairing it with a good beer😊 . I was not surprising at only 200 seats , the atrium would have taken a lot of floor space . However I think it was a definite plus . I can inagine that even in the rain it would be a delightful space to enjoy a leisurely lunch . Would you have any idea of the identity of the gentleman whose portrait appeared on the roof ? Merci again .
If you are in a hurry, how could you appreciate good food?😁 Unfortunately I have no clue about who this gentleman is...
Little things like this always intrigue me . I think I may even contact the restaurant directly . I can never resist a mystery . Merci again for your reply .
Burgers in America are like Madonnas in Roman Catholic Europe or pasta in Italy, with innumerable recipes originating here. As you know, most of those recipes are credited to entrepreneurs and corporations rather than to terroir, but some are truly unique. And my favorite of those recipes is what we generally call the western burger - melted cheddar, streaky bacon, bbq sauce, and some type of fried onions. Glad to see PNY serving these in Paris, and a cultured gentleman like yourself enjoying them! 😀
There is good food to be found everywhere, even in England, that's saying something! So, of course you can get great burgers in the US (my personal favorite at the burger joint in NY) and in Paris too...
I’ve heard that it was good but never made it out there, but it looked yummy!😊
It's a bit out of the way, but it's worth the 15-minute metro ride.
Merci! We will try this for lunch while in Paris this November!
Hope you'll like it!
Your videos are the best! Thank you. Can’t wait for my trip to Paris.
Thanks 🙏 Hope you have a great stay in Paris...
J'aimerais visiter ce lieu.😊
Un très beau et très agréable restaurant. N'hésitez pas !
Yay! new video! Thanks

We appreciated the information & the presentation style, enhanced by the great choice of Satie music & filming on a grey weather day. Thank you so much! :)
Glad you liked it!🙏 And yes, Satie's music is a plus here, I think...
My teens will have their iPhones with the IDF Mobility app and their tickets loaded, but will not have data enabled. Is the ticket information stored on the app and accessible even with phone in airplane mode?
Normally, you just have to have NFC activated. You don't even need to have the app open.
Do you have to validate the ticket everytime you go through or everday? Or just the once
Every time you go through ticket control machines.
@paristoptips okay thank you!!
amazing
Thanks 👍
My husband and I are going to Paris in April - May 2025. I found your videos and they are amazing! The video tours, the descriptions, the sound track (amazing music) and all of the information is so useful. I really enjoy and appreciate what you have put together. I am in the planning stages right now and this information is so very. helpful!!
I'm glad it can be helpful to you!🙂
The Common Era (CE) is the actual term since not all subscribe to christianity.
Well, I don't subscribe to Christianity but I have learnt BC and AD, and I'll continue to use them as for me CE and BCE are hypocritical as they arguably imposes a “Christian” time reckoning on non-Christians under the guise of “Common Era.” I'm writing this as I'm in Thailand, where we are currently in 2567 after Buddha attained parinibbāna. So who's right?
France has a higher crime rate thanks the United States and a slightly lower crime rate than Mexico
True if you consider the crime index. But the murder rate in the USA is 4 times higher than in France. So you might get stolen in the metro, but there's very little chance you get shot at or stabbed...
thanks a lot for the wonderful videos, We are plannng to visit In Jun but the official site says the tickets are sold out. So what are our options?
You can go directly to the tower and queue to get a ticket. There is a big chance that the third floor will be complete, then. Or you can use a site like "Get your guide" and pay the double or the triple of the normal price.
Do you need to scan your phone or watch when exiting
When exiting the metro, or a bus, no. But in the RER, yes...
Good job.... We are going to paris for 2 nights. Our flight will land at 8pm from India. Which pass or ticket will be suitable for us to reach our hotel and next 2 days city tour by our own.
Watch this video (czcams.com/video/IzB3Zucs7yE/video.html). The Paris Visite 3-day pass might be the best option for your transport.
Thanks for this very useful video! It used to be that one can purchase the weekly pass latest on a Thursday for use for the current week. We are arriving on a Friday but still find it best value to get the weekly pass. Now that we can buy it “remotely” through the app, I should be able to buy it in the current week even though I’m only using it from Friday of that week, right? I hope my question makes sense!
Yes, absolutely. That's a good point: even if you arrive on a Friday, you can use the current week pass, as you purchased it before!👍
Thank you much for your update, so helpful 🙏🇫🇷….. May I ask if I can have “two tickets in my iPhone : one for me and my wife?
No, it's not possible. Only one ticket can be validated at once.
@@paristoptips Thank you for letting me know, I appreciate it
My pleasure 🙏
Thank you for the informative video! When you have weekly pass, day pass and t tickets on your account, which ticket type has the priority to be used?
The pass always has priority over the ticket.
Sorry but overly complicated for those not tech savvy such as the elderly. It’s like a guide for flying a plane. I’d rather just buy a card I scan. Than join this, buy that, turn this on. Although do appreciate your efforts at explanation.
I do agree, it is overly complicated if you do it only once. As I do it every month, it has become the best solution for me.🙂
Thank you very much. Excellent & very informative video which will be most useful when we visit in July. Merci again. 👏👏
Glad if it can help...

@@paristoptips Not working for my Iphone, getting transaction failed each time, so I'll just get a navigo card tomorrow at CDG.🤷♂
Maybe you should report this problem to someone... but I honestly don't know who😁
Apple Pay for most of stuff, very convenient:)
Absolutely!
Ive got 20 ticket on my phone and the idf app and I'm sure nfc is on,about two years but everytime I try on the purple pad nothing happens so I'm doing somethng wrong. Luckily I can buy tickets for my navigo on my phone or top up on the machines so im ok. Its just frustrating having those 20 tickets on my phone but unavailable. It's me,finding things complex as usual. If I ever figure it out itll seem so easy afterwards
I mean my navigo easy card. I'd rather use that really. I dont want to get my phone out all the time.
