Toyota Tube Bumper Fabrication
I build a tube bumper for the rear of a Toyota 4Runner. The bumper covers the quarter panels and acts as body armor. It is connected to the roll bar and the frame. I also fabricate a spare tire mount. There is some footage of a front bumper and rock sliders I made but the video is of just the rear bumper fabrication. I bend the tubing with a air over hydraulic bender and notch the ends with a grinder and paper patterns from blocklayer.com. I use a Miller xmt 304 and wire feed head for all the welding.

Where did you get the ends from? I’m also looking for some brackets for a Chevelle.
Have you had a chance to put the body back on the frame to see how it looks with the frame upgrades ? Would like to see it
Man, thats gotta smell good @17:20!! 🤮
Do you still have it an so how much
Awesome Job I have a 57 and need to do this!
Cool project
Looks awesome…great job!
Nice 👍🏾 job bro 😎
Great video with before and after shots, explaining your plan of attack and speeding thru to the final results. A lot of good information without filling the videos with fluff for builders with some talent. Thanks ! Your fabrication table is awesome too.
One of my favorite pickups. Hopefully you had it painted by now. It deserves it.
The music junked another video 👎👎👎👎💩💩💩😬
Great work on that engine. Looks super clean. 👌🏽 motivated me to clean my engine up.
Hi Yeti! Love the video man! Would you be interested in selling me a pair of brackets like these??? Please?
Love the video, i have a '63 Impala that i'm going to put a Duramax in and i like what you did. I'll do that along with some boxing work and add the convertible rails in the rear. I'm putting a 9" in mine too.
Wow, that is just too much like work since they make front suspension parts to upgrade the original frame. Nice work, but wow, its not much of an upgrade, really and to do it all without a chassis bench/jig ... i'd be interested to know how it drives when its done. Nice work.
Eric would you make a video of this 1955 Chevy 3100 showing your 1980 Chevy C10 frame and how it’s attached. Did you use a kit or did you make the four cab mounts and the core support mounts also the front bumper attachment point? If it’s a kit, what kit did you use?
What color paint did you use on the interior? Looks great.
Doing this on my 99 K2500 7.4 4L80E NP 246 suburban now. Got a NP241C from a 90 1 ton (I think) and this explains a lot of the wiring questions. Thank you! OH and nice job! Very clean and well thought out. 👍
e-bay s10 blazerspindle brake swap
Ever vehicle & person has a story Unless you built one for your self You dont know whata a person goes thur. It ain't easy For ever action thiers a reaction Best of luck, keep on trucking
what wheels are those
Looks good👌
Does this work with a 4l60 trans of a 1999 chevy tahoe?
Did the same swap in my '03 Tahoe 3-4 years ago. Fairly easy swap. Did it on my garage floor. Best mods was helping the front diff with 4x4 PosiLok and trashing the 4wheel drive push button panel and replacing it with the pretty useless cubby from a 2wheel drive truck. Zero issues since the swap but would really like to slip yoke eliminate it. The only upgrade that I'm aware of with the np241c. Nice to see other people doing this swap. The autotrac SUCKS!! Edit: you grabbed a useless cubby too. Nice!! Nice job on your harness too. I was able to get everything wired properly except for the front diff.. hence the cable engagement. Once less mess of wires and I do like the 4x4 posilok
That’s a mean looking truck. I would drive that all day every day. Love the patina.
The 62 Chevy heavy half ton truck had rear end we're you can remove the 3rd member from the from like a 9 in and it also had rear inspection plates so u can open it from both sides
Stumbled onto your truck, brings back memories! Just got my patina 55 done, so I feel your pain and pleasure! I'm curious, why ya not mount the right side mirror on the door as it should be?
nice truck
You did a great job!! Same color as the interior of my '55, which is still in progress. I'd send a pic if I could. The stick that you had to bend twice would also look great in that interior Bronzy color. That color was a great choice, used in old trucks of the past, very common in the 60's. Your interior looks beautiful. Well done!!
Thanks for sharing this video with us…just wondering who does the musical soundtrack on it?
That's cool man the newer frame ! My 46 business coupe is on a 71 chevelle frame ! Lots of newer stuff & better ride than original, can't beat that ! 👍🏻✌
music sucks
Are all gm np241 parts interchangeable? 90,91 suburban , with 92 and up ?
If you get a 241 tcase form a nv3500 it will have 32 spline
Excellent work man!👍
The engine looks great, sounds sweet!😁👍
I really enjoyed watching this video, the interior looks fantastic. I got a 55 Apache build going on right now and believe we are like minded....subscribed!
Im trying to source a 241 T-case, do you know what year trucks those come in so I can try and source one out of my local junk yard.
Do you have the parts and part numbers that you used?
Thanks for the information.
Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it!
How do you like those TMI seats?
Can you make those brembo brackets for me , I have blazer spindles with 2015 Chevy brembo calipers
