Terrible screeching modulation!!! The new software did not fix this bug. Inability to record and play back messages in good quality. Due to high heating, some settings change spontaneously.

Did you check the quality of the output when you reduced the power below 10V. Any distortion on SSB or Chirp on CW? I once got a 551 rprt due to voltage drop on an FT 100 due to thin power cable. I am wondering how well it would work on a 3S Lipo (11.1V nominal and 12.6V - 9.9V) I am not worried about reduced power out but rather distortion and Chirp.

I don't know what it is but these SDR's seem to have really harsh background noise, my 7300 has it too and I always need NR on, One exception, my Airspy HF+ which has pretty good audio and I use this now with the 7300 . With that weak signal there in this video there's no way my FT-891 would have this level of noise, It's got such good audio that I rarely need to use the DNR, I always listen with the same headphones. I had the X5105 good radio but sold it due to not needing it but had a lot of fun with it and an EFHW Really compact portable setup, the X6100 looks great but it's a real shame about the noise and I'm not sure NR would help much shouldn't be so noisy to begin with but looking forward to more videos. That was running full power at 10 watts into my home brew fishing pole vertical, that's mounted around 10-12 feet above ground level.
