Haha yeah, I dropped the torx bit too in the video, had to remove the underbody to get it 💀 it’s how it goes sometimes haha

It has fresh oil, fresh ignition coils, low mileage downpipes, the turbines of the turbo’s are still rock solid, new belts, new pulleys, relatively new spark plugs, new oil cooler, no leaks. I don’t know about the bearings or compression, but she’s running like a dream still.

Sure! Also if I may ask, if I were to buy an m4 with some high mileage on it, what range would you avoid (like close before 100k kms) or is there no rule like this? Also there are some nice models with 130-150k kms, but it seems like a lot to me so I do not know (also when reselling).

@@frederic_m it’s cliche but it totally depends on how the car was treated and maintained. My almost 200.000 km M3 was treated very gently over the years and has only done long highway kilometers on our high quality Dutch highways. I would also take age into account. Go for a new as possible and maintained one.

Haha I mean, I seriously had bad experiences with Bosch wiper blades so I thought to give these a try. What’s your experience with Ridex?!

@@TheHunterHofman Not so good. I tried Ridex door lock actuators and they were broken after a couple of months.

Thanks a lot buddy, hope you enjoyed it. As far as I’m aware, most capture plates still have a ‘bolt’ to rotate right? Looking at the one from MMR Performance for example (which I’ll be getting soon, along with their crankhub). Otherwise you should simply remove your capture plate by getting the car in the air, and doing it from below. Hope that helps!

@@TheHunterHofman I have the Vargas VTT Capture Plate it really doesn't have any provision to put any tool to rotate it. Taking the Crank bolt capture out is a BIG job and i don't even have the stock bolts to bolt the pulley to the car without the capture plate installed, so I would need to buy stock bolts just to turn the engine and then when done taking them out and reinstalling the crank bolt capture. I've read that there is an inspection plate for the flywheel on the car, maybe I can rotate the flywheel manually through there?

@@alexoehler1 I also have the VTT bolt capture along with the spline lock hub. After some research I see others have been able to cut the old belt, spine the water pump to allow you to put on the new belt then use the water pump pulley bolt to re-tension it. If it's possible this would be a lot easier then having to remove the bolt capture plate first

@@jaimehurtado356 That would be an amazing solution yes. But it needs to be confirmed that this is posible turning the waterpump pulley first. Also if that works it would also work to take the belt out without cuting it?

@@alexoehler1there's a few ppl on bimmerpost that have confirmed they were able to do this job by rotating the water pump bolt, I don't believe you have to cut the old belt to remove it I think once you remove the 4 bolt on the pulley you should be able to relieve the tension then remove the belt. I haven't don't it myself this is just what I have read hope it helps. I have also email Vargas for confirmation

Thank you man! I think I prefer the F87 M2. This M3 is a very special car and slightly tuned, but if I were to choose between an M2 and an M3, I would choose an M2. Yes, it’s slower, but it’s more fun.
