is it weird that my right hand is alot better than my right? as a 2month beginner
Hi..been watching your channel for a while now and i love your tidbits of tips i can watch in one sitting. I call myself a "frustrated pianist" because I only had 3 monyhs of formal piano in 2001 and never had the chance to continue it. I hafnt even :xperienced my first piano recital. I had to stop when my teacher back then agreed to let me play Moonlight zdonata fist movement even at grade 1 because she saw I completed it. After stopping due to financial constraints, i was more into playing by ear, learning new techniques by watching and listening to other pianists..like Richard Clayderman. Now I have a bedroom studio and a youtube channel after retiring from the band and mst pieces i cover are OSTs from videogmes like Genshin Impact (of which the fifth nation is based on France and the OSTs are classical and baroque-era inspired). I have covered a few already on my channel. But my frustration is i only use a 61key semi weighted keys so the pieces i can play are limited. Im also limited on my dynamics and expressionism which are very important aspects of playing as I have been taught.
I’ve learnt more in the first 5 minutes of this video than I have in the last two years!! ❤🎹❤🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for your great channel!!
sour face
Iim learning a lot even from your short videos like this! Thank you!
Black keys please
Hi Jazer Great as always. Please also make a video of a routine that we can follow to improve patient our black keys. Moat of your videos are in C major. Thank you
I have a deep love for the piano but never actually diciplined myself to learn, I know how to play a few songs but this is a start 😅
for my honest opinion on the first minute of this video is that i look like a monkey
Just started learning Gymnopedie no.1 yesterday, came here and glad to see im starting at a good spot.
I’ve learned all three … you are correct great introduction to Chopin..I love Chopin and playing these pieces has challenged me and improved my range … feel more confident and encouraged … I love your channel … I am a true Chopin fan … he’s emotional and lyrical etc… his music brings out the best in me … the music keeps me motivated
❤
How do you know the chords through the Roman numeral?
Thank you for your clear and friendly Style of teaching without too much words 🙂
Jesus, I knew someone who did this too it's so cringe 😂. And for the people saying the entire Fur Elise is bad enough, yes it is.
Thanks a lot for these very useful tips! Where can one find the Passacaglia music sheet which you are using in this video?
Can I try this in guitar?
I agree with you. I play A-mion op 150
There are exceptions, like how could you do octaves without using the thumb?
Thank you so much for sharing. I often don't feel like practicing or find it repetitive and because of that I often feel like I'm not meant to be a pianist..
Kiss the rain
I am a 9 year old boy and thank you for your helpful tips.🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
Me
I am a beginner with no previous knowledge of piano but when I tried it at first I was stuck at level 2! And I had no idea how to reach level 10 but in under 24 hours I was able to reach to level 4 and now I am practicing level 5. I just mean to say that if I can do it, trust me anybody can do it. Just keep on practicing and don't give up no matter what. I am pretty confident that within the coming week I'll be able to reach level 10 or if not 1 week then let it be 1 month I don’t care, I will keep on honing my skills till I master all the levels. So to anyone starting new out there just don’t loose hope and keep on practicing....you CAN do it!✌️🔥
This is so useful thank you!! Did you do a part 3?
1st faded 2nd Fur elise 3rd the most famous *the river flows in you*
I just can‘t Play with both hands and different speeds 😭
I warm up in slow piece then play Czerny then play what ever I'm working on and also them play stuff I learned prior. Sometimes I plsty by ear or along with u tube videos or improvise. Most is plsying classical music with music. I dont get bored. If i did l would find something else to do
I've been reading treble clef for years now, so when I tried to pick up piano it was super confusing to me 😭Ty for making this video!
dude number 3 is so hard but once i finally got it, i felt so satisfied doing it
Please give link of part 3
💥 Just my additional tips: Instead of pausing to figure out the notes, try to learn first the chord and the points where you get stuck beforehand, so you don't need to always pause to figure out the next time you play. 2 - Instead of a pause, slow down the overall tempo, at a pace that suits you to look ahead and figure out at least 1 tempo ahead ( 1 bar would be ideal ). Don't be surprised by something your brain cannot process or decode instantaneously. Play it very very slowly. Study very slowly. Remember, you're not playing for the public, you're studying, these are different things. 3 - Try to never look at your hands. How do I practice not looking at the keys ? Put a blindfold over your eyes and study all scales and arpeggios for at least 5 octaves across the keyboard, very slowly every single day. I hope you get better with time. ( Remember one more time: Never look at the keys ). 🎉❤
Exactly what i was looking for, just need to buy the piano
Just found your channel thanks so much I’m going to practice with you ! Subbed!❤❤❤❤
Wow amazing exercises, thank you! My brain is smoking a bit but I got the 10 levels... just hard for me to stay grounded on the keyboard with my right hand, maybe because I come from guitar! Love it!
I am a complete beginner and had my first face to face lesson last week. My instructor kept stressing "Slow down". He told me accuracy and technique are more important than speed, and the speed will come later.
This is great thanks so much for the resource. It will make my life easier giving it to students 😊
I am not so keen on the second piece and haven't learnt that, but absolutely agree that the first (Prelude in E minor) and the third (Waltz in A major) are lovely for beginners to learn 👍 I usually include these in the list I play through most days to 'warm up' before starting on whatever new piece I am learning. I would probably add the following Chopin pieces: Nocturne in E-flat major (No. 2) and Nocturne in C-sharp minor (No. 20). I do love your tutorials 😊
I've only played the 3rd piece, but I feel better knowing that it's the hardest. My teacher gives me a lot of modern pieces so we don't do much Chopin. So I'm glad I did ok with what is considered an intermediate level piece since I've only been learning piano for 3 years.
11:07 there’s a free music practice app called Tonic that’s started by the violinist Ray Chen. You can keep track of what are the pieces you’re practicing and for how long. And there’s some gamifications to you motivated.
I love this as a warm up. All of the versions sound great and easy to pick up! Love your teaching style as always. Thank you!
Hi Jazer, Thank you very much for the video! I think your English is pretty easy to understand, and there's no need to provide English subtitles as they cover part of the images, and thus your hands cannot be shown.
