The obstacles look too close together. If a horse is slightly out of stride, balance or mentally not focused for the next one, it’s ending badly! 😢 If they were further apart they’d have more time to regroup and pull themselves back together. Wouldn’t totally fix all issues but definitely a contributing factor

No one wants to see this high level of cruelty to these beautiful horses. Let the rider do the course without the horse if it is so important to them. LOL I have been blessed to have horses for 45 years and helped many horses from abuse like this. I have seen more abuse than I care to have seen in many competitions and shows, etc. THese horses never get out in the pasture they might get a scar or get dirty. They are kept in unnatural living situations and are cooped up most of the time with blankets on even in the heat of summer. It is insane and not necessary. When will humans learn to respect and let the horse live in its natural way and they will find a happy willing partner. It makes for a better situation for both horse and human. It is not that difficult to do for such a beautiful animal. We should after all these centuries be able to treat all animals as important beings in this world. THese animals are Gods creation that are being abused. STOP THE INSANITY just for money and prestige.

It's fascinating to see how the majority of the horses already make mistakes before the actual fall. You can tell when they are having a bad run. Most of the time it's the riders who fail to guide the horse and ride the horse in my opinion. Most of the time the horse and/or rider can't see the strides/distances, so the horse panics and stumbles, like humans would too! Same with speed. If you push your horse too much or too little, it's going to have a hard time clearing fences.

Traumatic to watch. Why do you ask your horses to do this dangerous crap? Surely you don’t care about them very much. This is as bad as racing 3 year olds.

Probably about 2 or 3 jumps it's just so unfair it is way too hard and so many horses refuse and got hurt at two or three jumps so those do not need to be included in this run those are very bad

Почему большинство троеборцев азиатов так слабо сидят(там буквально несколько падений буквально притянуты за уши,лошадь начинает ускорять темп после прыжка и вот он уже летит вбок и делает триста кувырков) и не умеют грамотно управлять лошадью,ощущение,что им главное лошадь выслать и пусть она летит куда хочет,плюсом я удивляюсь лошадям ,которые тут в большинстве реальные самовозы ,у которых на спине болтается ненужная ноша,которая им не управляет,подсказывает и помогает,а просто мешает.

ok I'm sorry but that place with the white jumps on the flat grass area doesn't belong into a cross country course. cross country courses are taken with a lot more speed and courses should be adapted to that, you can't just put show jumping oxers on a grass field and call it a day.

I think Badminton Horse Trials' course designers make some very attractive fences, but sometimes, they just don't seem that safe. I know they've since introduced frangible pins on these fences, and rightly so, but they're oftentimes still ostentaciously wide or large. Do they really need to be that big and daunting? Must be scary when coming off over one of these fences.

It always warms my heart to see that some of the riders give their horses pets after they fail a jump 🥰 reminds me that there are still people in this sport who actually love their horses.

Very tough trials for horses & I don't think it is ok for horses & riders, especially the water points seems insane for horses to cover. Is there any limit where we can limit our race & thirst to win?

High level does not equal breaking riders and horses. End of story. These courses are poorly designed and should have never EVER been approved. If I saw those runs before mine, I would pull my horse out.

When I was doing cross country, the jumps were fully solid. No giveaway . This is a really great idea because I had a bad accident because of it and am still paying For it today. (Horse was okay, I cushioned his fall)

why do they make cross country courses so challenging when the riders clearly are used to smaller jumps, therefore accidently put the horse off balance before the jump. there were so many instances where the striding was so completely off that there was no possible way the horses could have jumped the jump well. of course i am not meaning that the riders aren't good ones, i'm sure they probably are , but this level is just way too challenging for them and their horses.

I love eventing but the courses for this event were clearly never designed with the horse and rider’s safety in mind. It doesn’t matter how plastic or “safe” you make your jumps, riders and horses still get hurt because of irresponsible course makers.
