Social contract? Life is a freaking social contract, even if one goes full-bore hermit. I speak from experience as a hermit whose wilderness homestead of 22 years was burned to ash by the USFS in its social contract to manage and protect our national forests, handily destroying 341,715 acres surrounding my 30 acre off-grid wilderness refuge from society. And like the teenage girls here, all culprits disappeared unscathed by their criminal actions. Now taxpayers foot the bill to compensate victims. All part of the Great Social Contract. No matter how hard one tries, there is no escaping shady social contractors.

I remember when me and my friends used to go out for halloween. We'd always take a second scary mask out with us and hit every house twice. I'd knock once, get the candy then change masks and put on a hoodie I had in a backpack. A few minutes later we'd knock again and say 'trick or treat' in a slightly different voice. Worked every single time. At the end of the night I'd have a TON of candy and cash. We always made an effort to walk to the most affluent neighbourhoods for the best chance of getting cash and it always worked too. Wonderful times back in the late '90s/early '00s. The point is that you have to make an effort if you want treats. Larry is 100% correct in refusing.
