Joey is a guy that believes in doing things yourself to save money. When he was about to start a project, he would watch CZcams videos to find new tricks and hacks, but he found that most Channels don’t have clear instructional videos. Most skip over the need-to-know information or would go off topic too often. Aggravated with this and videos often turning into a person talking about their possessions or getting sidetracked, he considered starting his own channel. One that stays on topic. With his experience with over 26 years in car and home audio/video, and 20 years' experience in vehicle maintenance, and being a team member on a professional racing team that runs the fastest race boats in the world that are powered by t55 helicopter engines producing 3,000 hp, He felt he had something to offer people. On feb 17th 2022 he started his page to help him cope with the stress of his wife having stage 4 cancer. He uploads on Fridays at 12 A.M so he don't give up time with his wife.

they are backfiring you need to keep them away from the wall
Wonder which dash kit maker is going to innovate and bring the mounting out more flush to the dash. Having the stereo inset 'behind the curve' of these Toyota dashes makes seeing/getting to the controls a bit cumbersome. The Bluetooth issue you describe is pretty much what I've encountered with every stereo/phone that I've owned over the years. Android Auto on these requires connection to the front USB, it's not wireless. Once you connect, I believe it fires up automatically depending on phone settings. Either way the option will no longer be greyed out. Good install!

Got this same amp. Make a vid of how to set sub gains. I got a Jl tw12 with 400 rms I want to run with this but the amp runs 600 to the sub ?
hey man great video. I just purchased this amp to power my 4 Alpine R-S68 6 x 8 Inch 300 Watt Component 2-Way Car Speakers and 1 12" mtx thunder sub in my 2011 crown victoria. I'm still learning about all this - but I was told to splice the speaker wires from the amp to the metra harness, rather than wire each speaker directly to the amp. what are your thoughts on this? and also I'm a little confused about there being 6 RCA wires - I've always dealt with amps that only have 2 for the sub
The more power you run the bigger the wire needs to be for the full potential of the speaker to be met. Google charts per wattage and it will tell you what to use. Generally car factory wiring will reduce your total output so replacing the wire with bigger is better and safer. To your rca question. This amp can run front "right and left" channel rear "right and left" channel and subs "right and left" channel... each rca runs one channel. So for this amp if you have front rear and sure, it will need 6 rca cables Hope this helps

I recently got a corvette and it has this head unit in it but it sounds terrible. Pretty sure it still has stock speakers, it still does have a stock amp, help?
Bose amps are picky. I'd check to make sure the amp remote is connected. The smaller speakers in the door is ran off the head unit and the rest are on the amp. Are all your speakers working? If no here is your issue. Connect the remote wire. This is the easiest place to start without spending money

The camera work at Guntersville is normally the best. However, this incident was missed this time. The little that could be seen, looks like Tate's lane got cut off with nowhere to go but the prop rooster tail between 2 boats. Nothing he could do.
Yes, very hard to see, but going frame-by-frame on the drone footage, one can see the sponsons of the 91 pop up behind the 9's roostertail, before splashing down; the camera angle then cut away to the lead boats...

Miss Madison racing has spare wings and engine cowlings so hopefully they can get it repaired by Madison regatta. Weekend. It has been done before. You just have to work your a** off. I know because I used to work for them in the late eighties and early Nineties.
The 40 ran over the back cutting a hole in the hull and taking the rudder and mount off. The damage is too bad to make madison happen

Boat took a thrash, but doesn't look too bad from this. Floating level and even, on it's lid unfortunately. It should go again with some tlc. Glad Andrew is good. He took a bit, got anxious for a sec.

you have to connect with USB to use Android Auto on this unit.
I have the 401-4, but I'm thinking about grabbing a pair of the 5 channels and running active, 2 channels highs, 2 channels mids, 2 channels rear tweeter, 2 channel rear mids, and both subs channels powering a pair of 2 ohm subs. The 4 channel bridged to power midbass. Or use those sub channels to power the midbass, and then grab a 1001-1 for the subs.
I have Basiclly the same head unit Kenwood DMX7709s stereo w/ Apple Car Play got it for $349 Cyber Monday they literally dropped it off two days later at my place on Wednesday I also ordered and installed a a EchoMaster 9.3 Inch Digital RearView Mirror and another front cam behind digital rearview mirror that acts as a dash cam and you put a memory card on the side to store footage the rearview mirror runs did you leave full-time to the back camera $149 SanDisk 256GB pro Series Memory Card Total Price w/ Shipping Tax $ 565.00 Cyber Monday i saved $150 off head unit $100 off EchoMaster Cam Set and $30 off memory card total savings of $280 with two day ground free shipping you can’t go wrong for that price. If I had to pay regular price with shipping it would’ve been close to.$900 easy oh, and before I forget, that stereo came with a flush fit, install kit and wiring harness the camera system was very very easy to set up. This is my first time ever buying a Kenwood head unit. I always stuck with Pioneer or Alpine. I thought I made a mistake and was regretting it during the shipping time, but when I installed it and seen that the screen was actually bigger and had a better HD screen I was pretty impressed after brother with the price and quality of Kenwood. Like I said, I usually stick with Pioneer or Alpine for all my head units and strictly JL, audio amplifiers, JL, audio component speakers, and JL audio subwoofers religiously they just make the best stuff and since 1996 I don’t install any other component speakers subwoofer amp in any of my cars
Good stuff. I just got the same one. With only one out put from my receiver, should I just connect my cable to the white (left) input of the subwoofer or should I get a "Y" adopter to plug into both (left and right) inputs of the Sub?
You can get a y adapter but your white input on the sub is an lfe input. Almost all AV receivers and pre-amps will feature an LFE (Low Frequency Effects) output. The LFE channel is a mono signal and is already filtered before the signal is sent to the subwoofer. Almost all subwoofers will be equipped with an LFE mode. If you only have one amp output you can connect it to the lfe "white" for best sound or as stated earlier use a y adapter

I have this radio and installed it, radio tuner is about 2x louder than either Android Auto or Apple Play, with radio you'll be around 20-28 volume but with phones youll have to max it out more often than not. Not sure why but it sucks. Also phones calls get garbled on my android phone (OnePlus 7T Pro) but work fine on Apple play. Firmware update is essential but bypass is to turn of RDS. Side note, when you download the update, right click on it and select "Unblock" this will allow it to update and actually see the file. Its a Windows security thing.

Make sure your wiring is correct. Check your vehicle power wires for power with a test light. Check stereo fuse in the fuse box. It may have touched ground and shorted causing the fuse to pop

It's not too hard to learn. Best advice is get on it and look around. Tip: set up your wifi access so you can email codes etc to yourself of your friend that your helping

Not that I'm aware. Bluetooth apple car play is offered on higher end radios but I dont think it is on that one

Have the same camera and radio. What was the metal piece you cut out of the dash, how did you mount the remote USB’s and how did you get the camera wire from the inside of the car to the outside?
The metal piece was just a devider" support for old radio. It has to come out for new radio to fit. Usb cables I put in the cigarette lighter locations. And I drilled a small hole through the fiberglass from trunk to just behind the driver side tail lights. Watch my video of unboxing all the equipment. I show a lot in that one
I just bought the same unit. Im stuck.... Do I have to have another aftermarket wiring harness to make it work with my 2008 Cadillac DTS??.... Send help. Lol
Yes they sell a wiring kit that will mat h your cars factory plugs. You will connect that harness to the new radios harness. This will make it plug and play. It's the same thing I did in this video. Yourcadillac may require you to connect the blue remote wire to power the factory amp. Or it may require another wiring kit all together. I'm not familiar with your car so I can't say for certain

You can use connectors or twist wires and tape them. Soldering is just what I like to do
