I have found these cheap controllers useful for small AGM batteries 12v/8ah, 12v/14ah to be charged off of a 20 watt solar panel a good fit. I use them on my 12 volt actuator motors on my solar array.

I have seen these cheap controllers available in versions of 20, 30, 40, 60, 100 amps. I can absolutely guarantee these will not be able to take 100 amps. For one thing, they have all of the same terminal strips and the wire for say the 60 amp and 100 amp are too tiny for the proper 60/100 amp wire to be secured to the controller. 100 amp would need a #2 AWG copper wire and it will not fit under these tiny screw terminal strip. I believe they could handle 20 amps. Pushing it to take 30 amps, after that, I will say you will have a burn off/melt down.

I am thinking about buying one of these batteries. How have they held up so far?

Didn't know it required the big car battery. Why don't they have a controller for the other type of battery.?

I bought a VEVOR 24v/3500W a couple of months ago. There are a few issues with it, 1) two of the outlets have hot and neutral inverted, two are right and two are backwards. 2) the cooling fan on my unit doesn't work properly, it makes a horrible buzzing sound when it tries to start at low speeds... and either doesn't spin or spins slowly and haltingly. Then it goes into overdrive and sounds like an airplane. Obviously a defective fan. I contacted VEVOR about this and they replied IT WAS NORMAL (anyone who has ever worked with cooling fans knows this is NOT normal) and 3) the terminal posts are M6 screws and are connected to the mainboard with 4x4mm2 wires, for a total of 16mm2 for each post. This is equivalent to 6 gauge wire, which is not enough for the amps this unit can pull from the battery bank. Overall it is a functional unit and these issues can be corrected, but VEVOR refused to help me with the fan, and that is a very bad sign from the company.

So can you parraller them first then series them if you had 2 differnt type and 4 total, say 2 with Bluetooth and 2 without?

We used a harbor freight 3 in 1 jumpstart power pack, as a power source, with an 80 watt 12 volt power inverter, plugged into one of the two 12 volt ports on the power pack, to plug in the little fan for my "homemade red neck AC" / AKA swamp cooler ideas found on CZcams (same concept as your artic air) not sure how long it would've run that though, but it worked until they got the power back on an hour later or so the dog loved it BTW haha. I probably could've checked the battery voltage by hooking up a multi meter to the battery clips on the power pack I think maybe??? Not sure? I may have to see if that will read it that way so as not to run the battery way down inside if we ever need to use it that way again. Just a good to know FYI my husband has also replaced those little batteries inside those power packs with one similar from Amazon in case the battery ever died in one, we had to do that once.

Thank you! I set the floating voltage to 13.7V, but the controller ignores this setting and boils the battery at 14.8-15V. Has anyone else had this happen?

The most I could do with mine was to have it on my desk blowing on me. Other than that it is useless. Quit running after only a couple weeks. Better off building your own using a box fan.

Can we bring a fully charged car battery inside the house and connect it or do we have to use the still installed car battery?

I just purchased a new fllypower 12V 100Amps lifepo4 battery from Amazon like the ones you show in your videos. I plugged it to the charger that comes with the battery and it started to charge for about 2 hours . the charge is holding and fluctuates between 13.47 and 13.49V for about 2 hours. Is this normal ? could it be doing this to calibrate the battery cells? and how long does it usually take to fully charge this battery ? when I received it and started to charge it was at 13.1V. Thank you

I bought this for a cheap solar panel I have to maintain the battery in a parked vehicle. It works fine. Shows it is charging with a flashing arrow and stops flashing when charged. was worth it.

Mine was connected to a small solar panel (size of a sheet of paper) and a car battery. USB started smoking... brand new, junk.
