The way I have always scene 👀 "Gone with the Wind" with "Rhett Butler and Scarlett O"Hara " is similar to "Pride &Prejudice" only with less innocence,more passion and spice. ❤️‍🔥 To me, they are as"Fire & Ice" 🔥 🧊. He played with her like he was playing with fire and sometimes he got burned. 🔥 As her fiery exterior was always attempting to lick at his Icy exterior. 🧊And try as he might he couldn't resist her fiery spirit, she would melt that icy soul of his to a degree. Try as she may she couldn't melt his icy self fully and he would keep his cool. But she would lose her's with her hot temper. Her burning heart kept its fire 🔥 because it was her strength. He was attracted to that very fire and he liked the challenge, trying to tame her flames without himself turning into water.💧 To get close enough to feel the heat but not get swept away in the waves. 🔥Their greatest strengths, his shell protected him, like a lone wolf cautious to trust many; and her shell served her, like a cat clawing it's way out from any real or perceived danger.They were products of their environment and upbringing (just as we all are) and it shaped them inside and out. A classic case of not understanding that wants and needs are not the same thing in time with growing up and maturity. I don't think she ever truly loved Ashley, she only thought she did. It was just puppy love that she outgrew when she met a real man like Rhett. Sure they fought and were up in arms, but she was a strong woman and needed a strong man. Ashley couls never be a strong enough man for her. And Rhett needed a woman that would push him to greatness, and a Scarlett did that because she gave him a challenge to rise to meet, something a weaker lady could never do. So in all her "unlady likeness", she was every bit the lady for a Gentleman of Rhett's caliber and character. I think she also didn't know what love was until the end. I believe she always loved him, just didn't know she did, so it took time to recognize it and when she finally learned the truth, it appears too late. So he was as a sly fox to her charming vixen ways. They were perfectly matched but couldn't see the forest for the trees and put aside their egos to find the middle ground they both shared. So, it was that neither could bridge the gap between their own misunderstandings due to their poor communication and fear of vulnerability. Strength that gave way at times and became their biggest weakness. They were one another's equal, but could not see past their egos. There was a great deal to them, then just pushing each other's buttons, they ripped them right off the other! 😂 Too bad they couldn't figure out how to sew them back on and stich the pieces back together. An ally and defender, that at times led them to victory 🏆and other times it only delivered them heartache.💔 A game of love in a time of survival proved to be a real test if Love could/would conquer All!? It was "War" literally and figuratively for both of them, with a battle to win where the stakes were high between their hearts and their lives were on the line at the time. I think for these two souls, "Pride and Prejudice" was their greatest enemy that they would need to conquer to win it. They both had to lay down their weapons and surrender their hearts in their hands to one another. This to me is the theme I see with "Gone With The Wind". And it captured our intrigue from the very beginning and remains to do so along with the ending left for us to imagine to "what happens after" the b👀k closes. The author may have closed the door at the end but left us to open the door to our own minds. Where the story goes on in our own storyb👀k we write the rest✍️ I loved the movie, but think the book would be better by what I've heard. I will have to read the book. I believe "Gone with the Wind" left many of us fans with burning hearts longing for more. And the sequel "Scarlett" could never touch it! ❤️‍🔥📖

He was the most fascinating person I ever saw. He was not frightening, just fascinating. I definitely recall he was wearing prosthetics to make his face fatter and body fatter. Yep. Really happened.

Watching Gone With the Wind, especially during the aftermath of the Civil War, I totally understand why the memory of the Civil War is still so vividly alive in the South. The Confederate monuments we see in the South were a bone tossed by the North as some sort of olive branch. Hence I cringed at the SJWs of today who are trying to remove these monuments, trying to be relevant and historically significant.
