it depends on the narrator but 95% of the time, i’m listening to audiobooks on 2x + speed

Audiobooks are 100% reading. I count them, idc. I listen on 2.5x speed too. Sometimes I’ll start on 1.5-2.0x speed if the narrators have accents or just to get used to the specific narration and then bump it to 2.5. My husband came into the bathroom while I was getting ready the other day and had one on and was like wtf language are you listening to 😂

My whole family makes fun of me if they ever hear me listening to audiobooks like out loud, w/o headphones, but I only listen from like x1.5-1.85 which isn’t that fast! They say it sounds so garbled

I listen at 2.50 and above. It's like someone spilling the tea on what happened to them. It's fun! My Goodreads count is 152 and my goal is 250. I'm a mom of 4 and work 50-hour work weeks, reading physical books without waiting for them to go to bed or wearing headphones, audiobooks are the way to go. Mid books are like getting a chuckle from social media. Forgettable. If we knew the books we would like ahead of time, we wouldn't be reading mid books. I also am selective on what books I buy physically to put on my shelf. Accents are the only reason I would lower the speed.

YAY, I'm so glad you loved a novel love story! I've seen a good bit of people not connect to the story at all, but for me, it was perfection 😭Excited to read addie larue & when the moon hatched!!

"You bet your bottom dollar" just took me out 😂😂 that book wasn't even on my radar before hearing you talk about it, and now I might have to add it to the tbr

I feel like with Addie LaRue the story kind of lacks direction, because her life lacks direction… She can’t form any meaningful connections and nobody remembers her, so what really is her life worth? And then when she meets Henry, she finds meaning and direction for herself and that is when the book also kind of finds a structure. I think it’s beautiful but I won’t say I didn’t have to push through at some points. Sobbed my little heart out at the end 😭 5 stars for me!

I’m reading the invisible life of addie larue now and I feel you where when I put it down I’m not grabbing it and wanting to really continue. The story so fair is beautiful and I’ll continue to read it, but the pace of this book is very slow
