Magic is great for exposing those with fragile ego and desire to showcase arrogance. Some people feel the compulsion to expose a secret (even if their explanation is wrong) and others quietly and respectfully allow a secret to exist in plain sight. What did you gain from your comment? Validation? An ego boost? What do people gain from your comment? People who expose magic have a tiny pp.

Yes. All boxes are hand made, so they’ll differ slightly but mine fits 54 cards.

If it's what I think it is, sure, I just meant you "could" potentially use a TT to achieve this but it's not ideal. Again I think you can find something similar online but done with a pen - and you don't have to use a pen, just like you're doing here. It looks good in any case!

Realistically you need to perform it on a fixed table. Even if you have a piece of Perspex the size of a close-up pad, the spectator will likely lift it with the box. However, to answer your question - a piece of acetate should work providing it’s on a flat surface.

I’ve never seen it published. I’ve never found a gimmick the same as the one Ali gave me (which I still use now 20 years later) either.

@slyfox8900 he passed in 2009. I don’t know if he learned it somewhere else or if he created it but new gimmicks would need to be sourced or manufactured.

I’ve never seen it since learning it either. There are other additional handlings I didn’t show, also.

One or two times the person has been able to lift it but not with this tip. I must have forgotten that it’s on the tutorial. I will credit you in the description.

Totally understand not wanting to mess around tearing and picking up the pieces. For me, there’s something special and nostalgic in the magic prop’ness of it. Something fun and novel. It’s not something I’ll perform everywhere and anywhere but I have presentations that unlock people’s Peter Pan, Lost Boys magic in the right moment.

The end is clean. Nothing is added or taken away. Unless you let someone meticulously count every single piece, it’s very clean. You are correct in limited to one reveal, for now….

Do you give away the selected card from your deck for a spectator to keep at the end of a card trick? The tabs are rubbish to be discarded. Not souvenirs. Ends clean.

@@richardbloess6294 Here is my recommendation (straight from the instructions): At the end of the routine, casually drop the pieces back into the glass but secretly retain the “7” and “◆” pieces. It should appear as if you are discarding the pieces and moving on. If an audience member feels encouraged to try the procedure again, it will now yield random results.

I don’t see how it’s obvious when the card can be inspected. Magicians are plagued with method bias. The deeper we go, the more convoluted the methods must become. To keep in a wallet to perform any time, anywhere, I’d say yes, it is a must purchase.

​@@mikeonthebox The back of the card is entirely red (see video at 2:06). After the card is handed to the participant, the magician does not touch it again. This is the new addition to the 80-year-old forcing method.

Not really, no. The pieces are thrown. They fall. Face down are removed. There isn’t really a way to expose anything unless someone meticulously looks through every single piece or if you hand someone the two final pieces.

No, that's not possible. The only options for the force card and suit will be the ones that remain. There are no duplicates.

This is fantastic I bought 150 cards ie 5 sets and it’s absolutely outstanding. The spectator will not see two of anything as there isn’t any two of anything to see Gaz 😊

I don’t talk in acronyms. I use one acronym. Which ironically stands for “too long didn’t read”. It’s a common term.

I’m not familiar with the Tenyo effect but it’s an old principle. Jeff has just modernised it in to a sleek, quality card.

What routine to you build into using the force from the card

That’s for you to create. I’ve included Blake’s performance for inspiration but create something unique to you.

What you see in the review is what you need. You can add it to your own keyring or you can add your own keys to the keyring it comes with.

It’s not an effect I want or will use, so I won’t be buying it. If people donate to the channel fund via the links in all of the video descriptions I’ll purchase it for review.

If you like the effect, you’ll probably like the gimmick. It is a bit $$ for a one hit wonder, but it’s nice that it’s all self contained. The only downside compared to a normal haunted pack is the extra pocket space required. This isn’t happening with a real deck of cards. It’s a two-piece shell that you switch in after they pick a card. I keep my Leviosa gimmick/deck inside Greg Wilson’s Cold Case. The Leviosa shell is thin and delicate with impressively tiny electronics, so the Cold Case gives it protection and also facilitates the deck switch. I will still use Nick Einhorn’s Spooked most of the time, which is a more traditional hookup with a reel simply because a reel is a lot more versatile. But I don’t regret buying Leviosa at all. On the first day playing with it, I thought I was going to hate it because the thread broke over and over, and it was quite a learning curve to repair it. However, I eventually tried turning the power down to the lowest setting, and that completely resolved the problem. I haven’t broken the thread since (maybe about 100 performances). I also think the lower power produces a much more realistic haunted deck animation. Bottom line is that it’s incredibly well made and if your performing situations and attire (or close up case) have room for a one-trick deck, and if you have patience for a fussy invisible thread learning curve, I think you’d like it a lot.
