I wish I had found you before hand but! I went with Silver State myself! Went from a 3 speed automatic with a 4,000 stall B&M to the Tremec Magnum 6 speed 😁 they were simply amazing they put the entire kit together for my car, and again perfect fit, I’m having it installed at Car Effex in New Jersey (I no longer have a shop to work on it myself) and they got the transmission shipped faster than I thought possible! Came with everything that was needed to install and Car Effex charged me less than $3k to install it. Totally worth it $8,437.56 to save on fuel and actually have something that won’t bounce off the rev limiter in 3rd gear at anything close to half throttle! They are sending pictures of the build but I will be doing a video or two once I pick it up with the upgrades! Next is a full suspension upgrade to actually make sure I survive 750 WHP in a car that is the same age as I am 😅
Holy cow! That sounds amazing!
@@moparconnectionThank you so much! Yeah I am happier than a clam right now! I can’t wait for that first drive because the car is so powerful, but 3 seconds after I put my foot down the fun is over! 😂😂😂 it’s like brake, gas go! Boom firstsecondthirdholyhell😮😮😮gameover🥲 It’s a new motor build and I don’t want to blow the engine because I’m over rev’ing. I literally cannot mat the pedal without it bouncing off the limiter 1/2 second after hitting it. But I think the worst is being on the expressway and being close to redline in 3rd gear and a KIA Sorento thinks they are doing something because they walked away at 117 MPH 🥺it’s like NOOOOOOOOOO!!! I AM GEAR LIMITED YOU FOOLS!!!! But no more 😈 the Devil shall eat now Drag strips, auto cross, stop light 🚦 beware! The King has returned!
I was surprised to see the wipers working,I remember in the late 70’s when the rainy season started the chyrsler products would pull into the shop with the plastic bushings crumbled.great video, thanks
🤣 they sorta work. I don’t have variable speeds. The motor needs to be rebuilt
Mopar! This adventure video was so nice I watched it twice! Excellent job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great coverage. Although more of a GM guy. I do love some MOPARS. Great mix of cars your friends have. And the best part. Having your dad along. Proving you are never to old. Thanks.
Right on! Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow. That silver blue 71ish charger. Nice. Looks similar to one that was at MCACN.
Yeah it was cherry
Glad to see I wasn’t the only guy passing everybody on the 4 lanes
😉😁
The white screen flares between cuts makes this unwatchable
I never understood grown men who feel compelled to bitch about stuff online. If you don’t like it then just move on. 🤷🏻♂️
Please tell me your pan doesn’t leak….and then tell me what you used and details on torquing! 😂 I have a deep aluminum pan and have tried the blue Mopar pan gasket front still seeps. Did the baby powder trick doesn’t show anything else leaking. Now just installed a real gaskets Tennessee gasket with aviation gasket maker in all the holes and surface so we will see this weekend if she seals. Thanks for all you do!! I hope to be In east TN soon hope to meet you all
Works great. Just a TCI pan with a paper gasket and Permatex Right Stuff.
wish I would've done it this year in my 67 charger
Maybe next year?
power tour is a joke.absolute waste of money
Spoken like someone who’s never done it.
How many times have you been?
So very neat to spend the time with your dad on that trip that is a memory making time
Absolutely!
Very exciting video I enjoyed it very much! Thank you! 👍🏁💯
Thanks!
An old friend and I went the last 2 years, but we decided to skip this year. We shouldn't have done that. I enjoyed the video and Jim's Belvedere is looking good.
Hopefully we’ll see you next year!
Nice tribute to your dad.......and my 383 "identifies as a 440 6 Pack" 😂
🤣🤪
When me & the co-driver did the "Southern Classic" earlier this year, the old Mopar cruised in 80-90 range. On I-40 in Mississippi there was a fatality accident that had 2 semi's (one was shredded apart all over the freeway) & passenger vehicles in the mix that shut everything down. The Plymouth sat & creeped along for well over an hour & a half; luckily for us, the car sports a factory 26" radiator/clutch fan/ and shroud set up. It didn't get up to the halfway mark on the gauge
That’s awesome!
So very cool and even more so to do with your Dad ! Great job ! ! ! !
Thanks 👍
Great video! It’s great that you got to do it with your dad!
Yes! It really was great
20:59 That cam card has a Typo.... That should be 1.5:1 rockers and not 1.7:1 Just saying. I have the same cam in my 451.
Yes! you’re very observant
Great Video, i would not Reccomend spraying too liberally due to possibly contaminatinf the MAF Sensor. My Camaro ran like shit one time when i over sprayed the filter
Fair point, but after all these years I’ve never encountered that.
Enjoyed the video very much. Keeping it real is nice to see.
Glad you enjoyed it
Where is home base that your able to get back each day
Most of us lived just a few miles north of Nashville
The impala that youfilmed at 33 minutes. Looks like ET is the power plant.
Huh. Weird I don’t see that
@@moparconnection when you first zoom in on it the three openings look like ET’s head for a second 😂 please don’t block me! How much did you enjoy that 5th gear catching up with the crew on day three?
LOL! The overdrive gear was IMPERATIVE to us enjoying Power Tour like we did.
@@moparconnection hey are you going to get to Carlisle this year
I doubt I'll personally make it, but Chris Holley our Tech Editor will be there.
I'm sure neighbors were loving that!!!
Thankfully, I’m a very good neighbor who happily fixes lawnmowers and fences.
@@moparconnection 👍
All the close ups were blurry, but it looked like everytime you put the seal half in the retainer it was backwards 🤷🏻♂️
Zooming in can make the images pixelated. It’s a free CZcams channel, we don’t have the budget for $100k cameras like Roadkill. 😁
Great video. We did the same swap about 2 years ago and also did a series of the swap from 727 to the TKX on our channel. Your recent video reminded me to change the oil after break in! I mentioned you in our video. Thanks Kevin!
Yes! Please don’t forget to do that!
Kevin - Great video. I have a 69 Charger that is extremely similar to Brazen (512 Indy Head Max Wedge Holley EFI TKX etc.). I finally need to replace the rear main seal as I have been driving it for about 10 years now. (It's evolved a lot since then, lol). Anyway I did order the Mancini rear main seal updated version you showed here on your Hemi build. This was a VERY good video with great content. Keep up the great work!
Very cool! I’d love to see your Charger!
They wouldn't let me go out and see that 68 Charger in the end
The ratty blue 318 one in Nashville?
@@moparconnection Yeah, they wouldn't let me drive over and see it. I could only walk.
Great 🍻👍🏼 Best of luck
Thanks!
It’s really sad what happen to CA. I spent 20 yrs there off and on in the service. Escaped for good in 2021 to SC.
It's not the same place I grew up in. Left in 2012 and never looked back.

“CZcams famous” has a different feel to it 🤣
Boo on the LS Ford. A 351 with flat tops and nice heads would make more.
The original motor was dead and Roy had the powertrain on hand; it ran awesome and got killer MPG. 🤷🏻♂️
How has the Fast EZ worked overall?
Unfortunately, it’s pretty limited. It’s worked great thus far but the further I push this car the more tunability I need.
Awesome Charger. More awesome that your dad was with you. I need to get my dad out in mine soon. My 340 ate a lifter so I’m swapping a mild magnum 360 in while I rebuild the 340.
Right on! Yeah, get that 340 dialed ASAP
Totally cool video except for that fuel spill what a bummer! Glad it got fixed tho! 👍🏁💯
Tell me about it! Grateful we caught it at home and not on the road!
What a show.... THX for Sharing !
Absolutely! Thanks for watching
That’s f@&king awesome you’re dads with you!
Yeah it was a great adventure to share together.
I am envious of you that you got to do that!
Love that color, same color of the '70 Challenger that color. Now I own a sublime 'Cuda with 5k original miles. Cool Charger we also had a 70 Charger back then and the Cuda I have now. 🙂Have a Nice Day !!!
That's cool!
Car is looking and sounding good 👍 would it be feasible to put an access panel in there for the sender etc?
Thank you!
I like the adjustable strut rod, mainly for centering lower arm, and maybe bias it for some caster. I probably would have procured some offset upper control arms if needed. Usually I try for 2-4 degrees of positive caster. Allowing up to -1.00 degree max camber. Borgeson steering gearbox, big sway bars, always drive excellent. Total alignment
Good suggestions
These motors had a lot of power but for weighing over 900 lbs, it doesn't matter, any car that these are in will be nose heavy, poorly balanced, and not able to brake well. Compare this to the Mercedes OM606 of OM648, these are diesels with as much or more torque that weight 450lbs.
They were VERY heavy
